Elmer’s Express Delivery

We did not have a good experience with this delivery service. Our delivery was suppose to be made by 9:30 am, I made it very clear when coordinating the delivery that my husband could be home in the morning but that he needed to leave no later than 10:30 to get to work. I was assured that they would be there by 10 am.
The crew did not show up until 10:45 am, making my husband over 30 minutes late for work. We did not receive any communication from the driver at all letting us know they were running late. When I called and talked to the owner, he did not even apologize for the fact that his crew was over an hour late, he blamed their being late on the store that we made our purchase from and that the roads were bad due to snowy conditions… The store opened at 9 am and is 20 minutes away from my house. My commute into work that morning at 7:45 am was clear and wet, the roads were just fine getting into Redmond from Carnation. Way to be accountable guys. Never using this service again.

I highly recommend Elmer’s Express Delivery. I only needed the heavy furniture moved from my condo on the third story. Elmer took no time at all getting everything moved while keeping everything protected. They really made the whole process smooth and easy. I had searched for a few days trying to find a good mover that would offer me a fair price for the amount I was moving and Elmer was definitely it. I will be using them for my future moves!

I needed a very heavy, solid wood entertainment center moved from the 2^nd to 1^st floor down a stairway with 3 tight turns. Elmer and one other guy came over to give me a quote, I thought. Instead, when they got there they look at the situation and said, «We can move it now if you want.» I didn’t think 2 guys could physically do it, but they got the piece downstairs quickly and professionally. I was extremely impressed, especially since it took 4 guys to get it up the stairs in the first place! Any time I need help moving something in the future, I’m calling Elmer.

I have used Elmer’s Express Delivery for three separate moves! I will always only use their company because I’ve had all great experiences with this crew. They are very courteous, and compassionate professionals, who understand of the stress of moving, and they take care of every detail with you in mind so your move goes smoothly as possible. They are a hard-​working bunch and they do their job with smiles on their faces. Elmer himself is very good about answering his phone and returning calls quickly. He is great at what he does, and his whole team reflects that. I hope I don’t have to move again, but if I do… I know who I’m going to call.

Elmer and crew were great and flexible. We scheduled a delivery of paintings from Bellevue to Mercer Island for one day and then needed to reschedule it at the last minute they were very accommodating and promptly on time the following morning. Thanks guys we will use you again for future needs.

Awesome! We moved an entire house from one side of Issaquah to another on one of the hottest days of the year. Guys never complained or slowed down. Super nice and easy to work with. Will use again for certain.

Elmer is a great, personable guy! We’d ordered a bedroom suite from Costco, and he and his helper delivered it and set it up. On the day of delivery, he called ahead of time to verify the time and address to our house; and showed up right on time. After an initial look-​see they went right to work, setting down protective covers in the areas of the floor, and always remembering to remove shoes upon entering the house. Each piece was unpacked and assembled with care. As they were setting up the bed, they discovered a couple of assembly screws were not the right length, and couldn’t complete the setup. He called the company about the screws, but due to his very busy delivery schedule he wasn’t able to return that day, but assured us he would be out first thing to get it set up– and he was! Not only that. While he was setting up the end-​tables, we noticed one the drawers didn’t seem to align or close properly. As we examined it to see why, we found the drawer guides were misaligned. We figured we would have to contact Costco about returning it. We mentioned it to Elmer in passing. But the next day when he came with the correct screws for the bed, he also brought a new end table. He had convinced the guys at the warehouse to let him bring it us! What nice surprise for us, when he showed up that next day with it, and took away the defective one. He really goes above and beyond. It’s nice to see people like him are still around. If every we need deliveries or moving, he’s our guy!

Elmer was great to work with. His company delivered our mattress from 6 Day Mattress Store. His employees were very careful removing our old mattress and taking up the new one. When we discovered a problem with one of the box springs, Elmer helped me get in touch with 6 Day to get the problem taken care of. He even came out himself the second time to make sure everything was just right. I would definitely recommend his delivery service.

Elmer and team delivered my mattress from 6 Day Mattress in Issaquah. In the 22 years I’ve owned my condo, Elmer’s performed the smoothest, most polite, easiest (for me) furniture delivery I’ve experienced. I live up 3 flights of stairs (count’em THREE) and, of course, I purchased the heaviest mattress available — all latex. The stairs are ALWAYS an issue. I get it, I live up’em too, and have carried up literally tons of items up those stairs myself over the years. From having a sofa uplifted over the (third floor) balcony (wouldn’t fit up the stair well) — totally ruining the wrought iron railing, to having family heirlooms permanently damaged, to deeply gouged walls, to ruined wood mouldings, to lamps sweep off end tables, I’ve seen it all when it comes to nightmare deliveries — and I know my unit is a nightmare to deliver to. I’ve been charged exorbitantly always (until now), had numerous outfits declare an item cannot be delivered to my unit w/​o even trying or measuring, to rude comments and totally unprofessional behavior. I’m always prepared for the worst. What a wonderful surprise Elmer’s was! Polite and courteous from the very first phone call. Elmer and his team were literally poetry in motion moving this mattress up and into my unit and never had ONE remark about the challenges of this particular delivery. They arrived promptly and even removed their shoes and laid down a mat to protect my floor. Elmer was even able to navigate our incorrectly addressed, difficult to find, condo complex, find my unit, pull in and quickly go to work. They were in and out in a shocking 20 minutes. I could not have been more impressed. Even when I said, don’t worry about your shoes, they insisted on taking them off with each trip up and down w/​old/​new box springs and mattresses. I’m DELIGHTED to have Elmer’s information. The next time I need help moving/​shifting the ‘impossible’ in my unit, I’ll ring him up. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PROFESSIONAL SERVICE. Great team of guys. We bought a mattress from The 6 day mattress store in Redmond. After getting home we realized we needed box springs. These guys must have had them on their truck because 5 minutes after making the call to purchase them they showed up. I looked down at my 4 year old son and said, «wow that was fast» and he said «of course their fast Dad, they have a cheetah truck». well I hadn’t noticed but there was a cheetah painted on the side of the truck. Nuff said. Very professional and fast. If you need movers I highly recommend them.
I should add that our delivery was scheduled for Saturday and they called to ask availability and showed up the next day (2 days early). Great service and communication.

Elmer is the best. This was the second time I’ve used Elmer’s Express within the last year. First time was just a mattress delivery, today we moved everything from Redmond into Seattle.
Elmer and tony showed up on time and ready to go, I was highly organized to try to save time if possible and Elmer knocked out my move super quick. I actually paid much less than I was expecting and everything he and tony did was quick, professional, and respectful of my stuffs.
I highly recommend and will use Elmer’s Express again in the future for all my moving and delivery needs.

I have spent the last week calling and calling for a business that would help me move my library book boxes down from my top floor out to the garage. NO one wants such a small job… not moving companies, not staffing agencies, «task» companies, or non-​profits. All had a large minimum or were booked until the next millennium.
So, I called Elmer’s Express. (they are the company that delivered my mattress, set it up, and removed the old one… why did it take me so long to call them… slap forehead) I got Elmer himself on the phone. «Sure» he says, «I can come over in 30 minutes.» Cue the sounds of angels… this is amazing even for a great company like Elmer’s.
Elmer and another mover arrived right on time, got to work, and knocked out the project in about forty-​five minutes. Their rate was very reasonable ESPECIALLY for same-​day service. Their staff is courteous, efficient, and are careful with your home and belongings.
Hire local… hire the best… hire Elmer’s.

Communication was great (a reminder text 30 minutes before delivery) and the staff were efficient and careful during the delivery.

My family just bought two mattresses from Six Day Mattress in Redmond. Elmer delivered one to my parents one day and one to me the next day. Since I was at work, my dad was the one who let Elmer and his crew in to my house.
However, I did talk to Elmer to set up the time for my delivery. I told him at that time that I wanted to make sure that my dad didn’t touch a thing during either delivery — he’s going through treatment and I had visions of him trying to help (which he totally would have). Elmer said he’d handle it — and he did. The delivery at my parents’ house involved more than just dropping off the one mattress, they also moved another one upstairs and removed a different one. And my dad never touched a thing or, as best I can tell, went upstairs.
For my move, same thing — my dad just opened the door.
For both deliveries, Elmer was there on time and the set-​up only took about 10 minutes.
I’ve moved a lot (military family) and I know moving mattresses can be cumbersome. Nothing was disturbed in my room — the nightstands and everything on them were exactly as I’d left them.

I had Elmer’s deliver my memory foam mattress from 6 day mattress store. Service was excellent. They took off their shoes without asking before coming into the apartment, the delivery guys were very friendly and helpful and needed very little from me. Their whole time here was probably less than half an hour. Excellent service!

Elmer’s delivered a couch to my hosue today. It didn’t fit up the stairs in my house. The 2 movers carried it up a backhill and made several attempts until they finally got 1 piece through my back door. The 2^nd piece wouldn’t fit that way so they removed a screen in a balcony window and hoisted it over my 2^nd floor balcony and through the window. 99% of companies out there would have given up after 1 attempt. These guys were so tenacious and cautious, I could not have been more impressed. Even when I said, don’t worry about your shoes, they insisted on taking them off with each attempt. Fantastic!

Had some furniture ordered from a store nearby, they used Elmer’s Express to deliver it. They called me up the day of the schedule to let me know what time I could expect it, then later called to let me know that they were ahead of schedule. That worked out for me, they got here and the two guys that were sent over were great.
It was raining and wet outside and they removed their shoes before coming in, and laid down mats to protect the floor as they worked. They had an entire bedroom set up and moved in/​constructed in less than thirty minutes, great job with it as well — getting it right where I wanted, and so far — built great.
Elmer himself made sure to communicate what time to expect the delivery, and was friendly and flexible enough to schedule in the best time for me. I will be using them again for any moving/​furniture delivery needs.

These guys are great! I bought a mattress at the Six Day Mattress store and they use Elmer for all of their deliveries.
I bought my mattress less than 2.5 hours ago and it’s in my bedroom. Right now. Seriously.
Elmer and team are professional and courteous, arriving promptly and even removing their shoes and laying down a mat to protect my carpet. He was even able to navigate my horribly confusing condo complex and they were in and out in about 10 minutes flat.
I would definitely hire them myself or recommend them to a friend!
