I love Dr. Joyce! I have been coming to see him since I was 16! And I have always had excellent service! I have always had the same lady help me pick out my frames every time I’ve come here! She has come to know my taste so well that she even picked out frames that she thought I would like when she saw that I was coming in! And Dr. Joyce is always very polite and professional! I love this office and would recommend people give them a try! Oh and they have a good selection of high end brands for frames too!

Dr. Joyce was really good during my comprehensive exam! He walked me through during my exam. For example, while examining deeper in my eyes, he said the blood vessels were healthy, those are excellent, and etc. he was also very kind and he explained everything to me! I was very surprised there was a doctor like this. I have been to 3 — 4 doctors who just checks my eyes and be like ok they’re good. Like i don’t even know what’s happening. But Dr. Joyce said everythig that i need to know. I hope he will still be here every year i get my eyes examined. I am so thankful and grateful that i got to get my eyes examined here. Also, there was no waiting line when i got there, since it was my first time, i just signed and read a few papers and then sat down for 2 – 3 mins and then they called me in. Especially, the staff/​employees there were friendly and accomodating. Everything was just perfect! :)

Came here last February for my annual eye exam and glasses. Was told if I went with the progressive lenses I could use them for reading. Paperwork_​driving and the computer (at work) so I thought perfect no more two pair of glasses shelled out over three hundred dollars on top of what my insurance paid and picked up my glasses about ten days later. Well I could see if I looked straight ahead but not comfort for driving, paperwork was blurry reading was blurry and uncomfortable and hard to find focus on paperwork. I thought I needed time to adjust so I waited awhile then their hours are not real convenient for someone who works 8 to 5. Meantime I had an appointment with my optimiligolist In mid may she put the glasses on a machine and said something about not being able to get a read on the prescription because they were cut off and suggested I take them back to Dr. Joyce because he should take care of it. I did so the next day. I never saw the doctor his office manager (I guess she is) spoke to me like I was a child, chastised me for not comming back sooner and basically denied anything was wrong with the glasses, called the eye doctor at Sutter a liar and told me I just needed them adjusted do I let her adjust them. Meantime I had surgery and have been recovering no improvement in the lenses do during recovery couldn’t even enjoy reading a book. well enough to go in today and the same office manager refused any help whatsoever. Do I wanted 300.00 and have to deal with these glasses until the first of next year when u can have insurance cover another pair as I can not afford to buy on my own. I DO NOT RECOMMEND This eye doctor. !!

My kids had their first visit with Dr. Joyce this week and we were very pleased! The ladies are all pleasant and helpful and our appointments were quick! Dr. Joyce was so nice and kid friendly! He was professional but made the kids feel so comfortable by making little jokes, they thought he was funny. We will definitely continue coming here for our eye needs!

Excellent! Dr Joyce was a pleasure and so very helpful. Willingness to answer any questions I had. Reassuring my concerns. Office staff are very friendly and helpful. Confidence and comfort with excellence. Anxiously awaiting my glasses to arrive. Highly recommend seeing Dr Joyce.

Make sure that you know all the fees before hand or they will get you for extra!!! Went in for a contacts exam not in need of an actual eye exam as I’m with in the year of the last and they CHARGED me anyways!!! Even though I always go there and they have my file so it should have already been known. Other then that the dr did a good job.

Dr. Joyce is one of those people that is so kind and caring, it’s hard to believe he’s a doc. I took my 8 year old to see him for the first time today, and I couldn’t have been happier with the experience. ‘First class’ professionals can be hard to find in Solano County, but he is one. His whole office is friendly and comfortable, and he took his time with us. He obviously loves his work. If you need your (or your kid’s) eyes checked, or just want new frames, go see him!

A glasses wearer for 34 years, I had my first appointment here this year and loved them instantly. Smooth, quick, but an efficient, fun, and lively team of folks. NO pressure, but very good at helping me with some best choices for my face, skin color, and value for the benefits I had available. The lady helping me with a stylish but fitting choice of glasses helped me like Gipetto helped Pinocchio, and as such that is what I called her every time I picked up an incorrect for me kind of specs. I needed that and now that I have my glasses, she was right and the compliments just keep coming! Thank you ladies, and gent (OD)!! I look good while seeing better thanks to you.

I have been coming to this optometrist since I was a child (20+ years). Dr. Joyce is a really nice guy and makes you feel comfortable during your eye exam. The staff is friendly and helps you pick out frames for your face shape. I recently got contacts and one of the girls was very patient as she taught me how to insert and remove the contact lenses. I would never consider going to another optometrist!

I know several people who go here for their yearly eye exams but I myself have only visited the front area a few times, while I’ve waited for said people to finish up.
I have had the opportunity to watch how the staff works with customers as the walk in the door and after seeing just how thorough and attentive they are I am quite shocked to find that there are no reviews for this business on Unilocal!Almost everyone who comes in ends up in a 1 – 1 session, with one of the ladies behind the front counter, to discuss various frame models and other such things. These women either have a great sense of style or are simply great at relating to the customer because I haven’t seen anyone leave disappointed. In fact I have seen people get giddy with excitement when they were choosing their frames or picking up their glasses, but I guess ‘being able to see again’ can do that to a person.
Moreover it seems that they make a good effort to keep all their frames up to date with the latest trends. Often times I see that the displays have changed but then again I only come here about once a year so that is to be expected. Lastly there is a great thai place just two or three doors down from this shop, so you might as well hit that up after your exam if you have nothing better to do.
