KC has officially done it again! It’s safe to say I’ve tasted and enjoyed many other creations since my wedding. (So many guests were impressed by her that they were quick to order their own cakes for their events). And each and everything they looked gorgeous and tasted amazing. I recently just ordered another cake for my nephew, he was a fan of Legos so I did a little research on Pinterest and found a few cakes that looked beautiful. I then contacted KC and asked her if she was able to do the cake I wanted she said yes and I provided her more information on what flavors I wanted for the cake (my previous cake order I had sampled a few of her flavors so I knew what I wanted already). The day my nephews birthday party she had the cake delivered promptly at 12pm at my parents house. I’m happy to report my nephew was so happy with the cake and loved the taste of the cake. (Very moist!)

I feel it’s only fair to reach out to your first to let know about my experience with KC Cake before I bring it to social media I am absolutely floored that you could walk away leaving my wedding cake looking the way it did This was the main focal point of my reception and I cannot believe I paid as much as I did for a cake that looks like this! I have attached photos for your reference Upon meeting with you, I asked for a 6tier cake round with the two bottom tiers real 3 in the center fake and the top tier real. I am utterly embarrassed my guests had to see the cake looking the way it did especially having them taste the cake itself I tasted the cake personally and completely agree with my guests. I will start with the appearance of the cake first In the first photo I personally gave you a photo and said this is how I would like the flowers to flow along the cake. Your response was No problem My florist made sure she gave you a ton of extra flowers along with greenery so you could make them flow along the cake. The photo on the right shows something different. You did not have them even remotely flow on the cake they went straight down the center. The cake was also badly slanted to the point it looked like it was going to tip over. Secondly, the fondant was 100% botched, rushed and in my opinion, not what I should receive after spending 600.00 on a wedding cake that is the focal point of my reception! If you look at the second photo the fondant had craters in it, along with imprints of the missing beads. The missing beads I am referring to are not what I asked for either. In the top right photo of the second attachment, I showed you this photo in person and told you I would like them to be sporadic as pictured in the photo. Again, you said you understood. Side note the beads on the my wedding cake were not even the same color as expressed in our original meeting together. Not to mention, the huge gaps in the beads. Each time someone came to our table to give us a hug, the cake table would be slightly touched and beads would fly off everywhere all over the dance floor! Speeches, same thing. Little beads falling off everywhere! Thinking about how my photographer was able to get a decent shot of us cutting our cake looking like that just kills me Also I was told they would look more like the beads on the cupcakes not dark bluish grey beads that were pushed into the cake. Moving on. After tasting the cake myself and hearing what my guests thought of the cake I cringed! I only had a taste for the photo, but my guests were given slices and took one bite and they couldn’t even tell what the hell it was! I was told it was very crummy, waffle like taste, some even said peanut butter and jelly! I requested blueberry and vanilla cake and that is most certainly, not what I received and paid for! The fondant tasted old, almost like the cake was made a week prior. I understand wedding cake takes time, however if you were not up for the job, or I asked too much of you, you simply should have said you were not the person for the job I would’ve taken my $ 600.00 and time elsewhere. I honestly was not thrilled on meeting you at our local Starbucks and the park, but I gave you the benefit of the doubt you could make the cake to my request. You showed me photos of your work off a tablet that was so dimly lit, but with your circumstances (not having a store and working from your home) I went along with it I must admit, the photos of your work Ive seen on Unilocal and Facebook page do not even begin to show the actual quality of your work. Your reviews on Unilocal were my deciding factor but after seeing what I received, I strongly disagree KC I am so upset I went with your company You assured me everything would be fine. Disappointed doesn’t even begin to cover how I am feeling. I feel like you took my money and left me with a sloppy cake that was on the most important day of my life. I am in no way shape or form a bridezilla I didn’t think my requests were far fetched. I feel I treated you with the utmost respect each time we met and I don’t understand how this could have happened! The only positive on your part was your cake stand. It was definitely beautiful. I just wish I could say the same about the cake sitting on top of it As for the rest of the wedding it was truly magical and you were the only vendor that did not do its part

There was a little trouble keeping the beads on as I discovered when I was setting up the cake however I did my best to make sure I could get them to stay on as best as I could. I can honestly ask that you not post this on Unilocal,as I know you are not a happy customer You are of course free to do however you wish, but that would be my request for this cake

KC did a super hero baby shower cake for me and it was perfect! I found a picture online and she was able to replicate it exactly. In addition to the cake being adorable, I got so many compliments on how great it tasted! The bottom tier was white cake with strawberries and whipped cream filling and the top tier was chocolate cake with cream cheese filling. Both were super moist and really tasty. Everyone at the shower was asking for the contact info of the bakery.
I would also like to give a bunch of stars to KC herself. She was SO easy to work with and had some great ideas for flavor combos. She was easy to communicate with, very responsive and available, and her pricing was totally fair. I am all-​around pleased with the experience and will be ordering again for all of our specialty cake needs!

KC is a very personable lady. She makes great cakes. We met up with her in Stockton early this year for my daughter’s wedding. Loved her cake flavors. The 3-​tier wedding cake and the smash cake she made for my daughter’s wedding is very beautiful… Thank you, KC… Until next time…

I ordered a two tier cake for my sister’s bridal shower to feed 50 people (strawberry lemonade (one layer) and mint chocolate (the other layer). I chose KC’s Cakes because it was close to where the shower was being held (but an hour and a half away from me!). I did my order over the phone and via email. I supplied KC with a few photos and a description of what I wanted for the design of the cake. I didn’t see or taste the cake until the day of the shower. This was a little risky on my part! On the day of the shower I was VERY pleasantly surprised! Two words: beautiful and delicious. Needless to say my sister LOVED the cake. Her and the other guests at her bridal shower couldn’t stop talking about how beautiful it was. Not only did it look amazing but it was absolutely delicious (very moist and flavorful). One guest even said it was the best cake she ever had! I could probably live off the strawberry lemonade cake (sooo good). If I lived in the area KC’s Cakes would be my go to baker from this day forward. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
