This location has come a long way the new manager is keeping the cleaning staff busy showers have been cleaner then the past. Training staff are friendly and always working i don’t see them on their phones anymore they are reracking weights and putting equipment back after use. Kiss club has swine staff who seem to really love the kids and have fun creating activities for the kids

This gym is something else The ladies in the front are so rude! I came in because someone mail my sister in law a free trial. I went into use it because I just moved into town. But they are so pushy and rude! I get it you have to sell the membership. But man back off a little bit let me think about it. Let me try the membership it was only 14 days free. They asked me have I been there before and yes I been there before I seen it and she went to go get someone else a lady and she said well we can’t find your name so fill out this it was a liability waiver. So I filled it out then they had me go talk to the lady that said they couldn’t find my name and she told me I could not use that 14 day and I was like why and she said because she see my name and I was like yeah you do now because I just signed a waiver for liability in the front save your money go to another gym. I don’t know is it all in shapes are like this. This is not a friendly gym at all every time I come in here it never fails they are so rude! They need better staff.

And here we go again with their kids club being under staffed. This Friday I had to wait 40 minutes, I just left because that is crazy. Tonight I had to wait another 15 minutes. But do you think they will discount my membership for all the times I had to wait or just left. NO.

Although my trainer is great (Andre Marc) and I love the classes, the management is terrible!
I attempted to solve a problem. Went into one ear and out the other! No resolution. Planning to switch over to Dover.

This gym is clean and friendly. Normally try to hit move around the after work rush and get in before or after that. Weekends are a breeze as I assume it many people’s «rest day». Makes it nice for us rat go in. Weekends should be capitalized to get to any muscle or exercise you may of not gotten to in the week.
Overall great staff, but changes frequently. Besides the few folks that treat it more like a social club and talks a lot, overall a good gym. No complaints.

My main complaint is that my boyfriend signed me up for a personal trainer and I’ve gone maybe 3 times and had a bunch more scheduled out for a particular trainer and I show up to find that they had to cancel .that’s fine cuz stuff happens but here I am a month and half later and still payin 140 a month and keep getting the personal training canceled .wasn’t even offered another trainer for that day that I showed up and they canceled… frustrating and waste of money at this point for the personal training

I just signed up for in shape about 2 weeks ago and I have to say, I’m impressed. The minute you walk in, there’s like a lounge area, where you can sit and mingle. The place is very spacious with a great lay out. They have 1 main room and 2 other rooms to the side for working out. The staff is very friendly. They get a 4 star because they lock you into a long contract and it’s pretty high for their monthly premiums. I pay about $ 80 a month for 2 adults.

What can I say about this gym. They have those real good front counter people like Debbie and then they have just okay ones :). There is always something not working. whether its the steam room or something. After going to a gym that looks like everything is broken and everything works good. Im slightly disappointed in this gym.
Some of the machines squeak and they are newer. The bathrooms are not always kept clean. When it first opened they always use to keep everything clean and organized but as time has gone by they dont clean as much. The steam room when it is working smells funny. The sauna smells funny.
Now its OKAY in the sense that they have everything I need and I could use anything (simple if I feel its not clean I can wipe it down).
Next time I’m in ill take a pic of the air things in the ceiling they are so full of dust that its hanging (pretty bad) last time I was doing abs I noticed how dirty they where and I guess its extra motivation to finish up your work out so nothing will fall on you lol… Anyways It does the trick, its close to my home but I so wished they cleaned a little more… A place could be plain, could lack equipment or services but if its not clean its not appealing. Yet when you work 12 hour days and dont have much time you settle and in my case I have to settle.

I recently started coming to this location since its close to work. &Im very happy w/​the staff here, theyre always very welcoming and friendly.
I brought my mom in to take advantage of the free 45-​day membership & Victor took very good care of us. Im extremely happy w/​how informative and friendly he was. He answered all of our questions and told us about different options as well.

Ethan the trainer is great. I go to training 4 times a week, I have a foster son who is 10 and absolutely loves the kid care center. Recently there have been multiple occurrences that we are wait listed and wait upto 1.5 hours with no luck getting in to the kid care center. The staff are great in the kid care center. This is quite frustrating when you pay for a service that includes kid care and then have to cancel training sessions because you can’t wait around. I am considering cancelling my membership and going to a gym that takes «all» their services seriously.

It’s a very nice place to go and very family oriented, however, the hourly cuts of the kids staff really irritating. I mostly go because of my kids. I had to wait almost an hour just to sign my kids in a couple of days ago. I hope that this is not a long term solution to whatever management is attempting to do. I like the place. I’ve been a member for several years now and don’t leaving because management decides to save a few bucks.

Great place to work out. I usually go during the day and I never have a problem with it being too busy. There is always a treadmill to run on or weight machines to choose from. I like how there is the big weight room (that I usually don’t go into) and a 29-​circuit room which is more female friendly. I do not feel intimidating to lift free weights when I am in the 29-​circuit room. I have not tired any of the classes, but I hear from other people that there are more classes offered here than at the other in shape facilities.
My 2 daughters LOVE the childcare area. I live closer and usually go to the Holiday location, but if my children go to the gym with me they beg me to go to the Suisun location rather than the Dover location. (Holiday location does not have childcare and Suisun and Dover does.) They said the staff at Suisun is friendly and there is a bigger playground at Suisun.
The staff is super friendly also. They always greet me with a smile when I check in and the staff in the childcare area is great with my kids. I also have Andre as a personal trainer who pushes and encourages me during my workout with him. And Alex is the best assistant manager ever. He is very helpful and follows up on my workouts.
The only downside that I have seen is that patrons of the gym do not wipe down their machines after they use it. *yuck*
Overall, I would recommend this gym. Not too bad to go during the day and the childcare is great. Just wipe down the machines before you use it.

For the most part, In Shape manages to keep me coming back and staying quite satisfied. Xavier and Porche are always at the front desk offering returning members and newcomers a smile and a positive attitude. Being a single parent, it’s always a pain to find a decent and legitimate care taker for my children. In Shape offers Kid’s Club which is a fantastic program which excels in friendly, caring, and linear services. My child is always giving me constant, positive feedback about the activities and staff in which the program provides. Rukaya and Porche make quite the pair and make the kids feel involved and accepted. They are two ladies in whom I trust dearly with my child. Apart from staff, the gym is brilliant. It doesn’t give off the traditional gym vibe and gives a new and unique atmosphere in which most gyms fail to do. The equipment is well cared for, well placed, and seems to be quite new. If you’re looking for a decent and affordable gym, you should definitely take In Shape into consideration. At this point, I don’t have any plans on transferring gyms :) Stay fit everyone!

Due to an employee of theirs making sexual advances towards me on the internet in the beginning of April, I became uncomfortable attending this gym. I wrote the management SIX times letting them know I wanted my account cancelled before someone actually did something, SIX weeks later. It wasn’t until the 5th email that I received contact information for someone at their Stockton headquarters letting me know they forwarded my complaint to HR. I call the woman at HR and get a voicemail. I leave a long message. Never get a return call, but two hours later I get a message that my account will be cancelled, but AFTER I pay for another month. All this time I included the photos they wanted me to include of the messages sent and yet they ignored me so they could get another 2 months, along with their bullshit $ 27 club maintanence fee on the 3rd of the month. This gym will make you jump through hoops to cancel your membership, or just ignore you until you maybe give up, even if one of their employees is making unwanted sexual advances towards you. I’d complain more to management, but they’re just there for show.

In-​Shape has a tiny weight room full of loudmouth slobs who scream as they attempt to bench 225. I guess that this is the place to be if you don’t mind paying hefty monthly fees to wait for a treadmill in a crowded room.

I’m here in the am everyday. Early AM staff is awesome. Xavier and Larry are always warm, welcoming and friendly. Love their free weight room! Large variety of free weights and lots of room to workout without being crowded or cramped. Definitely a much better place to work out than any of the other local gyms.

The front desk staff (Xavier and Darian) are amazing and I really enjoy their greetings. The cleaning staff is awesome as well. I can’t imagine going anywhere like the Croc center or that cesspool of STDs, 24. My son loves the day care and overall this place needs a better rating that’s more than 5 stars.

The facility has good classes. The front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. I recently canceled my membership due to the poor state of the women’s locker room and showers and the pool area. There is no upholding of the rules. People jump into the pool in clothes after sweating in the sauna or steam room or working out. Staff never seem to address the problem. The spa is a good temp but foamy and smells like dirty socks.
So if you don’t want to use the pool area or shower, it’s a good place. The women’s locker room always has a tv blaring the same time music is playing. Not a very calm place to change and shower. «

The gym itself is nice: very clean and «stylish» with appropriate gym equipment. It is a tad small and I’d imagine it’d be really busy during peak hours. That said, my complaint is with the management.
Cancelling is just about the most mind-​wracking experience imaginable. In-​Shape: Suisun’s management had the audacity to try and physically wear me out in an attempt to block my efforts to cancel my membership! That is to say, I was forced to wait over a hour to see the account manager (or whoever) with little reason beyond «the manager must approve all cancellations.» Okay. Not sure why my cancellation must be «approved» when the contract already states, in writing, that I am entitled a full refund if cancelled by so and so date.
Lo and behold, after the one hour wait I did not even need to see the account manager! You see it was the lowly worker bee, who originally informed me of this review policy, that eventually cancelled my account. And she did not need to maneuver through some Olympiad to complete the task! The whole thing took less than ten minutes. So let us review: 1) The manager did not have to see me; 2) The manager did not have to approve my cancellation as previously claimed; and 3) Unsure why it was necessary for me to wait one hour when the same worker who initially greeted me ended up completing the cancellation!
Clearly their «tactic» was to frustrate and physically tire me so that I would be forced to «come back at another time.» Honestly, if I were a less patient person and ruder I would have given them some very choice words. I get that you are trying to run a business but such lowball tactics are just distasteful.

I love coming here! The facility is very clean, they have friendly and helpful staff. Plus there are hook ups for my iPod!
