April’s Angelic Paws

Fantastic job here! I was concerned about pricing because I have a pretty med-​large dog and all the reviews here are for little guys. She took very good care of my collie and the price was great… she quoted me higher than she charged. I will definitely be returning here regularly! Thank you so much.

April’s Angelic Paws was a refreshing place for my dog’s grooming. I was used to going to Petsmart, where it would take 2 – 3 hours for a bath for my short haired Dachshund. They recently have gone up on their pricing, so I searched Unilocal for a new place to take «Darby». April was welcoming and their place is small but comfy. I believe she only employs one or two other groomers. I did have to use my GPS to find the place (which looks like a house). April was able to give Darby a bath with a hypoallergenic shampoo, dry, cleaned ears and express anal glands, AND clipped/​grinded nails for $ 25. Teeth brushing was an additional $ 5. However, I used a $ 5 coupon here on Unilocal for checking in and essentially got the teeth brushing for free. Darby was completely done is approximately 30 mins, and even kept him for me while I had to run and pick up my son’s RX. I will definitely use them over Petsmart again.

Took my Jack Russell Terrier in for a nail trim. He was so nervous and I was concerned he might nip at April. She took care of him quickly and efficiently and gave a treat. So very happy to find a place that has 5 stars. It was clean and quiet and I knew it was a great place when the dog that was waiting for grooming was happy and wagging his tail. Thanks April. Really nice grooming salon! There are 2 groomers. Did really great cuts on my two yorkies. The salon is very clean and set up nicely. I like that she doesn’t keep 20 dogs at a time, I think it makes it less stressful for the dogs.

She is very good and an easy five stars. I took my puppy for grooming to the local veterinarian in Fairfield, I almost didn’t recognize him after they cut his hair. We showed April a picture of what kind of cut we like for our puppy, 45 minutes later our puppy looks exactly the one on the picture. Awesome!

Definitely will be taking my fur baby here from now on ! Loved the haircut and the flea shampoo and applications are working ! Great customer service as well ! Make you feel totally comfortable!

I found this place here on Unilocal.Came highly recommend and I am very satisfied with everything! So friendly! Great with dogs! When I went to pick up my dog, I saw that she was very relaxed and at ease! This made me very happy! I hate leaving my dog anywhere! I felt comfortable! She is so soft and clean! They took the time to explain things to me. Not just… On to the next dog! Very good customer service! Thank u!!! I will be back again!!!

This was one of the best, if not the very best experiences ever! We LOVED what our doggies looked like! Honestly, finding April was a dream. She made our Yorkie and Mini Poodle so happy, and handsome. She will be our groomer without a doubt. She’s amazing!

I called for appointment and was given one 3 days later but she called back and offered a sooner one if I wanted. Took both my Yorkee and Mini poodle in and they look great. Highly recommended.

Just took my 3yr old Shih Tzu, Minnie, to get groomed. It’s located in a nice area in a nice building. Not too far from a shopping center where u can go while you wait for the pup to be groomed. She did exactly what I wanted and in a timely manner! I’m very pleased. She looks Fantastic! Thank you April! She smells great! Even Minnie knows she looks great lol. She has been prancing around the house because she knows she looks fabulous lol. I will return again :)

April has been by far the best groomer we have ever encountered! Having just moved to this area we were so glad to find this gem of a location because we wanted to avoid pet smart/​petco at all cost. I highly recommend her as he was pretty matted and by the looks of him now he is a much more handsome looking pup! And yes, just as everyone else has mentioned the price is very ideal and she is so great with dogs!

It seems like it took me forever to find a place to bring my adorable yorkie to get her groomed. I am new to the area and I am very particular about how her hair is cut so I had to rely on the reviews on Unilocal.
I am so glad that I found April with all of her rave reviews. She did exactly what I asked for and Roxy came home looking and smelling great. The location is very clean and adorable. I also love the fact that they don’t have a bunch of dogs all caged up waiting to be groomed.
You don’t need to look any further, this is the perfect place.

My wife brought our dog Luna here and we were pleased with the great job they did. Luna looked great and felt so soft. We will definitely be bringing Luna back here. I like the fact that they only work on one dog at a time.

Having moved from SF, I was not so very optimistic about finding the right groomer here in Fairfield for my picky Chelsea but alas after 2 visits with April, I am most definitely sure that I have finally found the right groomer for her.
April works out of her home garage makes for a personalized/​friendly service. Fast and efficient and thorough — finished in an hour.

We have a Golden Retriever and Boxer and were very pleased with the experience we had at April’s grooming business.
Both dogs were happy to be there, were well groomed, and very relaxed and comfortable when I picked them up!

Well, I started off with an appt with Tidy Tails but as I was browsing through Unilocal,curious to see what other options are out there, I came across April’s Angelic Paws. I read all of the reviews and was very impressed. With that being said, I cancelled my appointment with Tidy Tails and called April to see if she had any openings. She was able to fit me in at 6pm. I arrived 15 minutes early, however, she was ready and waiting for me. She was very friendly and helpful. Stated that BooBoo would be good to go in about an hour and she would call. She runs her business through her garage and I must say it is very clean and organized. I got the call about an hour later so I went to pick Boo up and she looked so cute with her pompom ears. April did a fantastic job and I love that she shows all her attention to ONE dog at a time. I will most definitely be bringing my other dogs to her!

After two-​three years of on and off visits to tidy tails (also in suisun), and a few recent clients claiming they refuse to do business with them any longer, I just decided it was time to take my dogs to another groomer. They’re getting older now and I noticed that no matter how long I had been taking them to tidy tails, Marz and Henny (yorkie, yorkie-​shitzu mix) always came back to me shaking, crying, and anxious to leave. My dogs are relatively small… Yet, tidy tails burned a big hole in my wallet. That, and their services are quite limited.
With April, I get the complete package and more– for much cheaper. Marz and Henny get a haircut and bath, nail trimming, and at my request, their teeth brushed, which I notice that a lot of other groomers don’t offer. Along with that, each dog is attended to one by one and the workspace is quiet and clean. April also gives a Unilocal check in discount, which she honors.
TLDR: April, you’re great. Thank you for taking care of Marz and Henny, especially because I know how wild they can get during and after groomings. Thank you for brushing their teeth as well. I know their teeth are/​were quite the job, which is why I requested them to be done (because I have a hard time doing it myself), but even after one brushing, they look polished! See you next time!

I love April’s Angelic Paws! April is always able to fit me into her schedule, no matter how busy she may be. Not to mention, she does a great job grooming and interacts well with her customer’s pets.
I have a 2-​yr old maltipoo named Mochi, who is for the most part a good dog. She does have some challenges with grooming though, as can be seen by her fighting with the blow-​drier for minutes on end to trying to push your hand away when you try to trim her hair. For these reasons, I applaud April for her patience and for being able to successfully groom her, and make her look great!
Her prices are super reasonable for a bath, cut, and nails, and she also honors the check-​in deal on Unilocal.I’ve been to a few other groomers in the past, but April is definitely my groomer of choice!
