Big Daddy’s Smokin BBQ

Stopped in with a buddy who’s a seasonal local. He thought it would fit the bill after a day of unsuccessful deer hunting. We pulled up in front of a restaurant: bar that looked like many other «rustic» establishments in the area. He ordered the ribs, and I had the smoked porkchop on the recommedation of a staff member. That porkchop was about two inches thick and VERY nicely smoked, tender and juicy. It would have been excellent by itself, but add their Alabama white sauce, and it was easily the best chop I’ve ever eaten! Paired with a good brown beer, and I was in carnivore heaven.
Oh, but there were veggies too! A good baked potato and a pile of zuccini. Now anyone who knows me, knows I usually gag when trying to eat zuccini. I hate the stuff, and I was very disappointed to see it on my plate, that is, until I tried it. I ate every bit of the hated squash and was quite sad when it was gone. Al dente with garlic and mushrooms, it was fabulous.

This is my first Unilocal review and I was excited to do it. I’m definitely going back.

Holy Bejebus, this place is much more than what you think it is!
When you get there you see the BBQ that is actually used to cook the ribs and tri tip and all the other good meaty goodness… ses…
I came here for work and found that this is a diamond in the rough. Great home style meals, great friendly people, kareoke on Fridays and a full bar with fantastic bartenders.
From the get go I felt at home here. The owners Carrie and Lonnie are great people to get to know and love mingling with their customers always making sure things are good.
Now the next best thing are the patrons, they are some of the fun lovin’ people this side of the Mississippi! My coworker and I got to meet all of them when we were here auditioning people for a show and I would be honored if Carrie and Lonnie had us back to cast again.
It’s a little far off the beaten path, but if you search long enough you’ll strike gold!
Enjoy their Pulled Pork, Tri Tip, St Louis style ribs and one more thing their mac and cheese is some of the best I’ve ever had! Thanks Big Daddy for a great night!

Love the night life here. However, I just recently had the Mojo Chicken… yummy in the tummy!

This is place is smokin good! Our burgers were huge! We loved it.
