XFINITY Store by Comcast

I believe the Sales Consultant makes ALL the difference. They can weave a difficult situation into a win-​win scenario. Without going into details, I am moving and needed assistance with service transfer. Amy Nguyen in the Sugar Land Office wove miracles for me. If you had difficulty before, ask for Amy the next time!

My review is only on the fact that I just needed a cord that was left off my «starter kit». I literally walked in and the staff member greeting customers at the front door let me check-​in but asked what I needed. After I told him, he immediately handed me the cord and said no need to wait. This was on a Friday afternoon and the place wasn’t busy compared to the location on Voss @ Westheimer.

I’m obliged to agree with other reviews about this location. Generally rude and unenthusiastic service from the workers, long waits and difficult to get straight answers. Honestly I avoid having to make any form of contact with Comcast if I can avoid it.

$ 150 a month to have terrible service. Internet always goes out. Have to wait 2 weeks for a technician to get sent out! Wish I didn’t do that 2 year contract.

I have nothing to against this store. However, I do have something to against this devil company. Comcast currently running a monopoly loop throughout Sugar Land area. Other areas have better internet speed for less cost because they have competition like ATT, Verizon, Comcast, Entouch. In Sugar Land, you have fewer choices which is Comcast, Clear and a lesser known Internet Service Provider (ISP). No national ISPs such as ATT, Verizon, and Warner Cable are able to come in Sugar Land because Comcast are paying the mayor to keep them off. That being said, Comcast is raising the cost and lower the bandwidth. I been a customer for 3+ years because I don’t have a fucking choice.

The people behind the desk are insanely bad. Most of the problem is Xfinity itself… the difficult to understand pricing tiers are all over the place, the equipment is complete junk, promotion pricing not available for existing long-​time customers, etc. But, the people at this store are particularly incompetent and downright deceptive. The Ken Jeong looking guy at this store is especially rude. He didn’t want to help, so he gives you a phone number to call, suggesting that they can give you a better deal, which turns out to be the Xfinity main number and the call center is utterly perplexed as to why you were directed to them… a huge waste of time. Obviously, these guys are incentivized to push product and services on you and when they figure they can’t make a commission off of you, they punt. It’s BS that they have the corner on the market… no competition results in crap service.

Why didn’t I read these reviews before I went in? Because I thought I was just gonna walk in, they would take this cable box that I don’t use because I stream everything and I would be on my merry little way. NOPE! I’m told to take a number by someone in the front. I was like, can I just leave this box here? I don’t want to take #8 and wait??? I’m confused… and what does she do? Why can’t she take the box, look up my account and give me a receipt? Foolish! After waiting 30 mins, I get to the counter, it takes thirty seconds… why why why? While waiting, I over hear many complaints and see staff talking about customers in front of other customers.
I don’t want to be without Internet, but I may order from another company, get my equipment and then cancel with Comcast. And this time I will just drop off that modem and keep it moving… what are they going to do? Chase me to my car with the box…

Goodness! There are so many bad reviews for this place yet I am one of the few who has had no problem with the customer service or experience here.
My router seemed to be going bad and after trying resetting, recycling and other troubleshooting it was decided that I needed a new one. This location is close, convenient and quick.
I came here, old router in tow, and was greeted by someone who entered my name into a smart pad and took the old router. They gave me a ticket with a number and put a matching ticket on the old router.
There were only two people ahead of me so I must have come at the perfect time of day. There are several chairs and stools for sitting while you wait. The «lobby» area has a huge TV with a very clear realistic looking picture. Your name is displayed on a monitor above that shows the order in which you will be seen.
My wait time was less than ten minutes and the lady who assisted me in replacing the router was friendly and helpful. She said there was a new, updated router available and switched out the old one for the current model. I was given a receipt and a number to call for activation and assistance if needed. There is no charge for switching routers. I was out in a timely manner and on my way.
The new router is fine and I have no problems now. I suppose I am lucky where Comcast is concerned. I can only speak for myself and my experience here was quick and efficient and no complaints.

I closed my account because ATT u verse was over $ 60 a month less for the same service. I gave Comcast a chance but they refused to come close.
That being said, the service at he service center was not bad. It was painless to close my account and turn in my equipment.
They are copying ATT stores with layout and putting your name on a waiting list TV.
Got done what I needed to with no hassle. Just no personality either.

Annoying. Never ever ever choose this company if you have a choice. I come frequently because my basic box never works. They say I need to update because these boxes don’t work. This is part of my rent. I do have two other new boxes but they don’t work much better. So. They have given me yet another basic box that doesn’t work. Thanks alot

Horrible customer service. Comcast xfinity has to be the worst customer friendly company in the world. Why make me wait 35 minutes just to return some cable boxes. Crazy thing is, I moved and had my service transferred to my new address. They sent a tech to install all new boxes, but did not have him pick up the olds once. Requiring that I make the drive to the store and wait in line. WHY?

I am a new client as of today this morning. Let me tell Ive had the worst experience so far. They need to get things under control. So right now my WIFI is down and I have LIVE wires hanging from the roof of my home because they did a HORRIBLE job of an installation. All day I’ve been dealing with Automated machines and RUDE reps. No one has returned to fix this DANGEROUS and HORRIBLE problem. *One vehicle has already got caught in the wires that were left in the streetThey have no sense of urgency that a customer has LIVE wires hanging from their roof. DAY #2 Still no one has arrived to fix the LIVE WIRES lying in the middle of the street and from my roof. Unbelievable!!! After day 5 still no one has came and was the day I CANCELLED. Now I am going through hell to get my Deposit back. I hate this COMPANY. Was told 7 – 10 days to receive my deposit well its been 14 days and nothing. STILL HAVE 100 FT WORTH OF WIRE STILL IN MY YARD THAT THESE IDIOTS HAVE NOT CLEANED UP. GETTING READY TO CALL CHANNEL 2 AND SUE THEM FOR THE WHOLE THE MADE IN MY WALL FROM INSIDE TO OUTSIDE, ITS A WHOLE YOU CAN SEE THROUGH MY HOUSE TO OUTSIDE. WORST COMPANY EVER.

I stopped by the store to pick up a cable box. Upon entering, I was immediately greeted by the manager and given a number. I waited about 15 minutes on a busy Saturaday morning before helped by one of 4 Comcast associates. I told the associates what I needed and was done in 10 minutes. I was surprised how effiecent the process was.

Much like the quality of their Internet and Cable, their customer service is TERRIBLE.
I can only speak for this location, but my overall experience with NBC’s XFINITY/​Comcast has been in one word, painful.
Wether it’s trying to get your service up and running or trying to cancel, it’s truly painful from start to finish.
Trying to avoid this location? Don’t, it’s probably the best around, which is saying more that you even realize. Instead, try avoiding Comcast entirely.
Unfortunately my apartment complex (Camden) requires use their service, (they provide a discounted rate for Internet but cable is included into rent). The discount is not worth the effort that is required to maintain this awful ‘service’, though.
I wish it was different, I wish I could start over. Turn back while you still can, and don’t come here. It’s not safe. Run. Please, before it’s to late, stop reading this and get as far from this place as you possibly can. NOW!

Wish there was half a star. Stopped by this service center to just return an old box. I figure I’d make it easier for them by bringing the box to Comcast. Two women at entrance took my box and chords, filed it away then put me on an hour long line to wait for a receipt. Rude customer service reps talked to me like I was stupid. Meanwhile there’s three reps standing around doing nothing.

Hate there service. Everything is outsourced overseas and when you start getting this $ 10 rental modem fee good luck getting it off. Had to file a bbb complaint to get it off and the stupid lady removed the wrong modem and now I have no internet. Pain in the butt to deal with this company. Should have stuck with WINDSTREAM. Would have given them negative starts if that was a choice. STOP OUTSOURCING KEEP JOBS IN THE USA

Comcast is the spawn of the devil.
With that said and after days w/​out internet and hours of endless phone calls/​online chats to customer service that leads you straight to Clueless, robotic, Indian call centers… we finally researched their service centers.
The experience was surprisingly pain-​free. I recommend going during lunch time, when it’s less hectic. The front greeter got us checked in and even with 15+ people ahead of us, the line moved quickly with 5 – 6 stations servicing customers.
Station 5’s Crystal quickly helped us, was informative, offered help changing modems as well as other help (changing service plans).
We were out of there in about 30 – 40 minutes. This was the first and only positive experience I have ever had with Comcast. Hope this helps you as you search for a way out of hell, I mean, Comcast’s service.

I’m not writing about this specific establishment, but Comcast as a whole. This is absolutely the worst company in the history of companies. Their customer service was actually voted the worst in the U.S. That’s a lot of companies to be worse than. And believe me they’ve earned it 100%. I would never in a million years recommend Comcast to my worst enemy. Fuck them. Ughhhhhhhhhhh. Terrible reception. Slow wifi. Asshole reps. Incompetent installers. Horrible just horrible. I miss my Uverse :(.

I am not writing about this location specifically, i intended to write about comcast as a whole company. My wish is to find out who is the CEO or president of this sorry company, so I can tell him what a terrible job he is doing, trust this company is on its way down, the worst service company that exist, they really don’t know what they are doing .I have been having problem with there services for the past two month and the problem is not resolved, I don’t blame the workers for there incompetence i can assure you it comes from the upper echelon .
Yes they give you 20 dollars credit if they don’t show on time foe repair, but if you wait for them every time , actually seven time this month and the problem is not resolved because the way they operate is like true or false or hit and miss .
i took off from work a total of 18 hours waiting for there majesty to solve the problem and still not resolved, they promise to call you back and if they do it is from an unknown number so in case you miss the call you cannot call back, now i make around 40.00 $ an hour time 18 this is a total of 720.00 $ and they want to give me 20.00 $, I do not want your freaking 20.00 $ just fix the job and get some competent employees, I do know you have contractors out there but you should screen them stupid CEO, the contractors blame comcast and comcast blame the contractors, just for God sake tell me who works for who .
Again i address the president whoever he or she is, get off your fat ass and check your company performance, be creative and find out the problems, or may be you are not bright enough to deserve this position may be you fooled your way to it like you are fooling your clients, the worst company ever to deal with .I will give you a ZERO rating if it exist on Unilocal but i am forced to give you one star which really you don’t even deserve.\
I know at least for me it is time to look for another provider, I don’t think I will find worse than COMCAST/​XFINITY the biggest false ever

Was here today to return the devices for cable. We’ve got chromecast, hulu, netflix, and a projector… We barely watch TV these days so decided to cancel it. The cancellation was done online, but the devices need to be returned to the local store. I’ve returned devices in other places before, so I expected this visit will be nice and quick. Well I was wrong.
The store was pretty packed, with customers sitting here and there waiting. The man before me has just placed the device on the counter and the lady in the front desk said «please take a seat and we’ll call your name». Nobody greeted me or whatsoever so I just quietly stood at the door. Then the lady signaled me that I should register first and get a number. She didn’t ask me what I was here for (probably she can guess from the bag I was carrying) and asked me to enter my first name on the screen. Since our cable was not registered under my name, I was asking if I should put the account holder’s name here, but before I finished my third word she just impatiently ignored my words and repeated «put your first name». So I did. And she give me a receipt, took the devices they need from the bag, and told me the exact same words she told the previous customer. I’ve got another question to ask, but again before I finish my sentence, she impatiently interrupted and repeated her words, paying not attention or respect to me at all. I tried hard not to take it personally, maybe she’s a human robot programmed just to repeat certain sentences and get her job done, like one of those automatic customer service systems.
So the waiting began, I picked a spot (not many choices, since the store was packed with waiting customers) and started my daydream. The store got several TVs, as well as some iPads for the customer, but after 10 mins I still got bored. To be honest, I was a little bit angry at the way she treated me, maybe it’s because a long day for her already (look at all these customers…) she just want to cut the chitchat and get the job done. I’m not a picky customer and usually don’t care for service particularly. But I was having a good day until someone ruined it, what could I say?
And a sweet voice called my name. Yay. Another lady nicely welcomed me and showed me to an extension counter, and asked what kind of service she could offer me today. She then scanned the devices, printed out a receipt, and it’s done, less than 5 mins. The whole process was welcoming and professional, that’s what we call customer service.
Anyways, just happy we cancelled their cable and don’t need to come back in the near future… As to front desk, I’d prefer a self-​service tablet to this lady.
