Larry Caldwell, DDS

I cannot believe there are any negative reviews on here! My children have been going for about 7 years and Dr. Caldwell has always been the same nice caring dentist from the day we met him, the front desk girls are always helpful in finding a good appointment fit for my girls. The office offers a Saturday appointment once a month as well. Great office! !

This is the best kids dentist in all of Houston. We drive 50 miles each way to bring our 6 kids to the dentist. They love coming here. The staff is great and always so happy. The dentists are very knowledgable and have a great report with my kids

Terrible office staff. Dr. Caldwell is fine and so are his assistants, but the office staff (front desk, appointments, billing) are all terrible. It get’s old after a while. You have to jump through hoops to get an appointment and they are always rude. We had 6 years experience with this office and it just gets worse and worse. Dr. Caldwell is not good enough for us to continue dealing with his staff.

I bring my 6 year old child to Dr. Caldwell, he is awesome! He was my pediatric dentist since I was 4. I am glad to be able to bring my child to have a great experience. He loves to come to the dentist all the time. Love the staff, they are nice & friendly. I love how conservative he is with treatment work. He has great experience with children. I would highly recommend any family & friends to bring their kids to Dr. Caldwell’s

I’ve taken my kids to Dr. Caldwell for 3 years, and love the office! We drive from Katy, and he’s worth the drive. Our daughter has a heightened gag reflex and they have never made her gag. They work through the kids anxiety with a friendly attitude, and they treat the kids like they are the most special patients of the day. :)
I highly recommend them.

I have taken my children to Dr. Caldwell for many years. He is gentle, kind, patient and very personable with my kids. I love the fact that even though his practice has grown over the years he always makes you feel like he has all the time you need to discuss things with him. I like the fact that he is conservative in his treatment, and does not «overtreat» as some others do. Dr. Caldwell is available whenever you might need him after-​hours. My friends son knocked his tooth out during a baseball game on a Sunday, and Dr. Caldwell and a staff member actually met them at the office to reimplant the tooth! Who does that!!!
Dr. Caldwell definitely sets the standard in which Pediatric Dentists should uphold!

I have taken my kids to Dr. Caldwell for a long time. He was originally friendly and caring. Over the years, I couldn’t help but notice a definite attitude change as his practice grew and he aged. I guess dentistry isn’t fun.
The last two times I took my children for routine cleanings didn’t go well. First, the woman cleaning my youngest child’s teeth ignored complaints that she was hyper-​extending his/​her jaw. My child was in agony. She teased him/​her about his/​her age and refused to quit. My child was very upset and complained to me about it. My child’s jaw cramped for a week afterwards. TMJ anyone?
Six mos. later, Dr Caldwell discovered a cavity on the same child whom he had given sealants, placed on the very tooth on that very spot the previous visit! In my opinion, when it came time to fill the cavity, the doctor was clearly irritated, and proceeded to try and rush the procedure. No coaxing, smiles, or kind words, just an impatient scowl.
We later used another local dentist to recheck my child’s teeth a week later. The dentist said he saw no evidence of ANY seals, and showed me another cavity Caldwell missed. He filled it with care and concern, as well as newer water drills that Caldwell doesn’t have.
It can take months to even get an appointment with Dr. Caldwell, due to his enormous practice. When you add to this that, in my opinion, he appears to be behind the times and burned out, I can sadly advise you to go elsewhere with your children. To this day, he has never called to apologize for, what is in my opinion, his unprofessional behavior. That is why I post this months later.
