La Royale Nails & PediSpa

This place is amazing!!! I went 2 weeks ago with my coworker and managers. May i say a wonderful treat of our GM and well… as soon ad we arrived they were ready we choose our colors and walked us over to our chairs. We all got the lavender pedicure, which smell and was amazing. They massage your feet for about 30 minutes with hot stones. For my nails I got a french overlay. It was so peaceful and soothing music. Everything was great!

-$ 25 for the cheapest pedicure
–The sink for your feet is lined with a huge plastic bag. Literally. It feels strange to have floating plastic against your feet. I realize this means the sink is sterile, but I suppose that makes up for the sketchy cheese grater used on your heels (not taken out of a sterile packet).
–What massage? You mean some lady just rubs lotion over and over, right?
–Was not offered any beverages
–RIGHT before painting the nails, acetone is applied again which means any cuticle softener is gone.
–Applying a hot towel means literally that. A hot towel is laid on top of your legs and feet, no wrapping.
–No premade toe separator for you! Only cotton (how ghetto)!
–No clear top coat.
–After she finished painting, the lady just left without saying a word. I didn’t know what to do!
I will not return!

A friend of mine suggested La Royale, as I was looking for a nail salon in the Sugar Land area. I researched them on Unilocal and was a bit hesitant because of the 2 – 3 star ratings I saw. I read many of the reviews and found that while some of the reviews weren’t great, the most recent reviews were very complimentary. The more consistent comments were cleanliness of the salon and the nice staff. Linda did my mani and Hanna did my pedi and they both did an outstanding job. I’m very particular about my nails and if I don’t like them, I don’t make a scene or act ugly, I just won’t go back. I really appreciated how Hanna actually listened to what I wanted rather than doing what she’d done for others. I will definitely be back. The reason for 4 and not 5 stars, is a couple came in towards the end of my visit and they were offered wine. When I inquired about the wine and asked what determines who gets offered wine, Linda didn’t understand. Really? :-/
I will be back and I’ll definitely ask about the wine too. I hope this helps someone make a decision.

Best place in the SL to get a mani/​pedi. Hands down. Y’all know that I don’t lie.
I don’t know how i haven’t already written this review, i have been coming here for ever! My mother has been a regular for years (she stole my dutchess crown!) and i always came when i visited from the #ATX and now that i live here… Well it’s THE spot.
Holly gives the most amazing pedicures… Ingrown toenails? She’s got you! Hannah? Girl, She does it All! Mani, pedi, and she waxed my eyebrows right into submission. I am a Yetti no more. And as i type, during this visit, Annie is giving me the most amazing lavender mani/​pedi. It comes with a hot rock massage. BRB. Cause she relaxes me so much with her magic fingers. Seriously y’all. At least treat yourself to the lavender manicure. The massage you get is worth the $ 27 bucks alone.
OK! Their painting work is always on point! They draw you all kinds of cute designs, give you a sparkling flower if that’s your kinda thing. I just get my nails did regular style, but mom gets acrylic and they always look fab too and last forever. She has a faithful every 2 week appointment, though, cause she’s fancy like that.
Kim, Lilly, Mai! Every single one of these women will pamper you and make you feel like a princess! The salon is beautifully decorated. The massage chairs are super comfy and they play relaxing music. They have lots of other services that i haven’t tried… YET.
SERIOUSLY, tho. Don’t waste your time or money looking for somewhere else. Just head on over to La Royale. Tell them Carole and her crazy mom Cindy sent you, they will know exactly who you are taking about. *the crazy mom part is the important part.

Good location for sugar land. The people are nice, and they actually take you on time when you make an appointment. Not as pretty as some of the other nail salons in sugar land but than again those are way more expensive. However, has all the amenities that other salons offer: massage chair, offering soda & water. The lady was very attentive and did a good job on my pedicure. Only issue was that they didn’t have Essie nail polish and that is what I usually use.

This place is nice, pretty average in price and in services. But the girls are very sweet and offer wine and soda! I do love that they are concerned about cleanness and put new plastic on the little foot tubs for each pedicure!

My appointments are every other Tuesday, with Holly and Hanna. I love these ladies! Music is calming and everything is clean. La Royale always gets the new OPI Collection.

Just got our nails done here while waiting on my car to be detailed by Mister car wash across the street. It had 3 stars so i thought why not. Close walk from where we were. My daughter is 11 and she got the Mini mani/​pedi for kids. 25 bucks for both. Not a bad deal. I got the deluxe pedi for 47 bucks and the express mani for 15. Mai took great care and time with my daughter pampered her and made her feel nice. Nails look great. Annie did my express mani and im not too pleased with. She cut my cuticle too far and cut my finger and the polish on my nails is a lil sloppy. However Kim fid my pedi and it was fabulous. Parrafin dip callous removal mint mask with hot towels orange scrub hot stone massage plus a hot stone shoulder massage face and scalp massage as well. Will definitely return here for a pedi. Prolly not another mani at least not by the same person. Not really a fan of them doing both at same time

Went in for a full set and pedicure around lunch time and was surprised to see how attentive they were! This was my first visit there and I’m sure I’ll go back again. Hannah did my nails and I think her name was Linda for my toes. Excellent service from them both. They made sure to ask me questions through out my entire visit just to make sure it’s what I wanted. I had simple solar nails done and they did an amazing job.

Nice nail salon… I love the sanitation of the pedicure chairs, they use plastic bags in each chair and throw them away after each customer… the staff is extremely friendly and always seem to have smiles on their faces… I usually get the deluxe pedicure, which consists of hot stones and paraffin… I will continue to return as the prices are reasonable and the service is great

I love this place ! It’s so relaxing and calming, they put all their attention on you and don’t rush at all, they take their time and make sure your well taken care of. They have different pedicures I got the lavender deluxe and it was amazing! I got shellac as my manicure and it was great, also got my eyebrows done and also came out amazing ! I definitely recommend this nail salon!

Okay, I seriously have NO clue why this place doesn’t have 5 stars. Let me start by saying I’ve been getting pedicures my entire life in multiple cities and this place is my number ONE spot by far. With that said, I only get pedicures done here, not nails. Nails are subpar, pedicures are the best I’ve ever had. If you decide to go, get the «orange pedicure» not only will it come with the full spa pedicure but they will massage your shoulders, neck, and head. It is a bit pricier than others in town but they also do wayyyy more. Honestly worth every penny. They offer complimentary wine and other beverages. Their chairs are very comfortable and the staff is friendly. I can’t even get pedicures anywhere else because they just can’t compare at all.

I’ve been coming here for years and have never had an issue! Every time I come I have a very pleasant and relaxing time! Nobody ever rushes me and they take their time to make sure all treatments are done perfectly! I tend to look up creative nails on Pinterest and they never turn them down and always find a way to make my designs happen. I recommend this place to all my friends and family!

It was very modern and clean. The noise level is great very calm. I came on a friday mid day were there was not too many customers. They have only one deluxe special pedicure the lavender for $ 35. That takes off a star for me because I like a variety. It does include hot stones hot wax sea salt scrub and cut down. They get 4 stars because I asked they take cards they told me yes. when i went to pay i find but they will not put the tips on the card. They only way they are able to receive a tip you have to have cash. I felt like that should have been told to me before hand so I could have had funds accordingly. Hence I have taken off another star because I feel that was poor communication and bad business.

I went yesterday to get a full set of the colored acrylics. The receptionist was very polite, the rude one mentioned in other reviews has probably been replaced. Mai did my nails and they look great. She paid great attention to detail. These are probably the most carefully done set of acrylics that I have ever gotten. I can’t say yet how they will last, but I bet they will last well.
The atmosphere is nice and spacious. The pedicures, though I didn’t get one, seem more sanitary than other places since they use a disposable liner to soak your feet in and they use gloves.
The full set cost was average, and my service was above average, so I left satisfied.

I’ve purchased one of their groupons for a mani/​pedi.
I had scheduled an appointment earlier and I was sitted immediately. Their colors were disappointing… not much variety but they do carry OPI. I just went with a classic red. They had their own special menu for groupon users. It just listed add ons for your mani/​pedi. Each were $ 5 a piece or you could do 5 for $ 20. Excellent deal but I chose one which was some callus work. The pedicure was okay… the atmosphere was lovely but it didn’t stand out to me.

Experience: Disappointing
Bought a Groupon for a «Couples Mani/​Pedi», which was supposedly worth $ 80, and I think the service we got was probably worth $ 8.
This place gets two stars for the fact that we got to sit on massaging chairs for the 15 minutes we stayed there.
The service was very quick, a bit rough, and it was very obvious they wanted to get the job done and get us out of here.
As soon as you come through the doors, you’ll notice the counter, some chairs, and the massaging chairs located in an open saloon to the right side.
Nobody came to even greet us, instead one of the women who was giving a customer a pedicure just yelled at us asking us what we wanted. (It was a little strange). As a result, we didn’t get to see the notorious «mean woman» in the counter whom most people have written reviews about.
So. what happened?
1. We had an appointment, but we ended up waiting for 30 additional minutes.
2. Our nails were trimmed in such a manner that I would rather make my husband cut my nails because he would be more careful.
3. Trimmed our cuticles? they took about 3 second to do thus, it was so fast, I hadn’t even realized they had even done it. I am still questioning whether they actually did it it?
4. There was a sign in the front stating that to service any men, there would be an additional cost of $ 3. Can you believe this?
5. They showed us an additional menu with additional costs:

The service was completed in 15 min, for a service worth supposedly $ 80.
The women who were attending us were amicable, but the establishment seemed poorly managed.
Would I go there again: not a chance.
