Jazzercise sounds like a throwback, but it’s caught up with the times.
The music is fairly current, and the moves are dance inspired. It brings in weights and (very loosely) yoga. It’s a lot harder than I thought. I always walk out thinking how much fun I had during the class.
The class later in the evening (6pm) isn’t as crowded.

This is not the ‘80s, but Jazzercise is still a fantastic workout. The classes use the latest music and follow current exercise trends including yoga, plyometrics, and pilates. This is the only workout that keeps me interested and doesn’t feel like torture. Ditch your current routine and come dance at Jazzercise. It’s the only fitness program that has stood the test of time and is still going strong.
