Because of AAA’s suggestion, I took my car here instead of the dealership. Things didn’t feel right from the start. (1) Upon arrival, the technicians weren’t busily working on cars but instead were just hanging around. (2) Unlike the dealership, there was no signing-​off of the work to be done when handing over the keys. (3) AAA told me it will take 1 hour to diagnose my electrical problem– it took more than 3. (4) The work done was not clearly described. (5) The worst part is that– this shop really over-​charges on parts. A car battery costs over $ 240! (They normally go for $ 140 or less). It was too late when I got my bill.
Not coming back to this place again.

I would give them 0 star if I could. Took my car to there for inspection, they wanted to oversell me to replace 4 tires. I politely declined because my tire should still have warranty left from costco. After I fixed my tire in Costco, by the way, only two front tires need to be replaced, not four, I went there for re-​inspection, was told the inspection system is not working, and won’t be back until my free re-​inspection period passed. Liars, I saw another customer just there for inspection. I took my car to another shop immediately, paid another inspection fee, passed without any issue.
Avoid this place, even for inspection.

I would give them 0 star if possible, this guy is a crook. Took my car in for a state inspection, he came out and told me my wipers needs to be replaced or else it’s a fail. Told him that’s fine. Then later he came back out and said the test failed because the the Check Engine Light or the MIL did not turn on. He wanted 800 bucks to fix it. Went home pull out the owner’s manual, looked up page 2 – 82 for a 2002 GMC Yukon. Exactly stated the light is label as «Service Engine Soon» in the US and «Check Engine Light» in Canada models. Called the dealership to confirm and they didn confirm the MIL indicator for the 2002 GMC Yukon is called the «Service Engine Soon» light. Called back and told him that his MIL light is the «Service Engine Soon» light and it is working at the ON position, it turns off when the engine is on satisfying the state requirements. He then argue that there is no such thing and that every car has a MIL display normally Check Engine or a picture of the engine. Told him again for my model it’s called «Service Engine Soon» and referred him to the owner’s manual if he didn’t know it. Then he got really crazy and went off about how he’s been doing this for over 20 years. Sorry sir, if you really have been doing this for over 20 years and you did not know about different model and make has different MIL indicator, then all of your customers are in trouble. Wasted 200 bucks on this time, last time wasted a few thousand just replacing the muffler and the O2 sensors.
Anyone who give this guy a 5 star is obviously his family member. Do not go to this guy unless you like being ripped off.

I would give these guys a 0, I waited 2.5 hrs on Saturday for them to change my front rotors and pads on my truck and then had to come back on Monday because they screwed it up and had to do it over and waited another 4 hrs for them to fix their screw up. This place is a bunch of crooks.

I wish I can give this place 0 stars; take this as a warning to NEVER go here. Went to get my state inspection and it’s been routine where ever I go since a relatively new Lexus isn’t known to have issues. Come to this place and it becomes apparent they’re not only beyond unethical but downright saboteurs. First my tires are fine, above the wear bar but right away they wouldn’t pass me because the tires won’t pass NEXT year. Wait, does it pass right now? Sure but they want to sell me tires I don’t need. They especially got angry when I said I’ll go to Costco to get new tires then. I went back to check up on my car and what’s this: my air con and air filter was taken apart. When I inquired was this necessary to do this they said it wasn’t but it’s their courtesy check. They weren’t too happy when I said to stop and put everything back since I’ll be taking my business elsewhere so when I got my car back, my hood wasn’t closed all the way. What’s this??? Opened my hood and found a handful of some sand/​dirt thrown over my battery that wasn’t there when I went back and caught them doing unnecessary things. Guess they were trying to sabotage my car and have me go back to have them fix it… Yeah, right. Just stay away from this place at all cost.

Always good service! Place is clean, people there is very attentive, manager always explain in detail what is going on with your car… And big thanks to Javier that got me a shuttle service today, so I can get to work on time!!!

Not recommend to do wheel alignment in this shop. They want to sell the special bolts for their easy alignment. They charge 2 bolts with labors for more than $ 200.

Went to get a price quote on an oil change. I gave her the yr & model of my car. Instead of giving me a price, the lady @ the counter asked me for my name. I asked why she needed that just for a quote. She said it’s their procedure. I asked again for the price. She then asked for my address. I left, I needed an oil change, not an application.

This place is horrible. My husband came in for an inspection to get our out of state vehicle registered in Texas. When he left the woman at the front counter was extremely rude and short. It turns out he was holding her up from going home for the day. He the. Went to the DMV and discovered they had not given him any of the proper paperwork to register the vehicle. We are now back here on Saturday waiting for a simple form to be filled out and let me stress we are still waiting and it has been over 20 minutes. Horrible!!! Don’t waste your time or money here.

This place is an awful place I have ever been!!! Don’t ever go to this place! I walked in to do overheating part after that the engine light came up. But before I went there, the engine light didn’t come up. I went back and told them what happened then the owner said they had to diagnosis and they were gonna charge me for $ 100. I said I wasn’t satisfied what you guys had done for my car. At least I need the refund which was $ 60 and he said why? I said bc it happened right after I came to this shop. By that time, there was other customer standing next to me, he was like he didn’t think we were on the right direction and he said have a nice day bye! Is that what owner should treat to customer?! I’m so pissed. I’m not gonna go back there again! Owner is terrible and also the service.

The owner is extremely rude. I created a Unilocal account just to review his business. When I kindly asked about his «$ 5.00 surcharge for providing digital proof of insurance» he told me to get out of his store. He was extremely disrespectful to me, and it appears to be his MO judging by the other reviews. Wish I would have known about Unilocal before wasting my time with this guy.

This is one of the absolute worst places you can take your car. Their prices are ridiculous and charge insane amounts just for diagnosis. Avoid at all costs.

We used to come here all the time, but they apparently changed management last year (2011). I sent my son there for an oil change and state inspection and he came back with a $ 400 bill! They talked him into a brake fluid flush (almost new vehicle) which was not needed and then over charged him for the oil and brake fluid. I went back and complained and they admitted that the vehicle would not hold as much fluid as he was charged for, but I had to go back two more times to get it adjusted. These people are DISHONEST! Avoid them.

I came here for an oil change. After turning down their endless attempts on upselling me things I did not need for my car I got out of there. About 2 months later I noticed the car leaking oil. I took it to another place to see where the leak was coming from and the informed me that whoever messed with my oil pan last tightened the plug too tight and cracked it. After hearing this info I called discount and the shop manager (cant remember her name) was rude and stand offish from the second I told her what was going on. She told me they can look at it and prove to me that it wasnt them.
So I brought the car in and they jacked it up and SURE ENOUGH it was cracked on the pan right at the plug. She then said she needed to get the shop owner involved from here and he is on his way. Well he comes in and I couldnt believe the service he gave me. He tells me that the crack was a «manufacturer error» and that the weld came off the assembly line messed up. This was totally wrong because when I fixed the pan at my mechanic I totally cleaned the area leaking and saw that it wasnt the weld itself that cracked but right under it. Since it had been 2 months since the damage was done by this shop I went in with the attitude of just merely asking them to do whats right and even though it has been a months since I had been there to take a customers word and take the chance to come out smelling like roses in referral business. Well I couldnt be more wrong. The owner told me flat out that «I am lying» and said I hit something to cause this damage. I told him that I understood that the months time between when I was there could seem bad but I was not a dishonest person trying to get over. I then offered that if I were to buy a new oil pan myself would he do the right thing and just put it on for me for either free or discounted labor? He said no and he «had a business to run» and doing things like that dont make for good business. As blown away as I was by this pompous fool I took his answer and even asked him for a quote to fix it then. He goes and gets a quote ($ 500) and sends me on my way.
Needless to say I did not give this place another dime of my money. I called a great mobile mechanic that will come to your home and fix your car. He charged me $ 135! So now my car is fixed and I found a mechanic that will value me and wont overcharge me at all either.
I will let discount car center continue to gouge the rich of sugar land who honestly have no idea what awful work they do or how much they are being over charged. As for me and anyone else who feels like a business should treat you like you are the one paying their bills, DONT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE.
