Kari Meloun, Licensed Massage Therapist, has a passion for helping others and educating the community about the benefits of massage.

She received her certificate and degree in Therapeutic Massage from Waubonsee Community College.

Kari is licensed through the Illinois Department of Professional Regulation since June 2012 and is a Professional Member in The American Massage Therapy Association.

She customizes each client’s massage to help achieve their goals, whether it be relaxation or a more medically based/​functional goal.

History

Established in 2014.

I was working as an independent contractor at a local salon for about a year, and was contemplating the thought of starting my own business.

After being a primary caregiver for my mom during her 8 month fight against lung cancer before her passing in June 2014, I decided to pursue a fresh beginning and establish something for myself where I could help others and do what I love. My mom was a great inspiration for me in my decision to open «A Time of Knead.»

Kari grew up in Sugar Grove just down the street from her current office location prior to her family moving to Elburn. She attended Kaneland School throughout her education before attending North Central College and Waubonsee Community College.

She acquire her Associate’s Degree in Science before entering the Therapeutic Massage Program. She then received her certificate and degree in Therapeutic Massage.

Kari has two children, and currently lives in Cortland, IL.

She enjoys helping others and spending time with her family.
