History

Established in 1973.

After graduating the City College of NY with a Chemical Engineering Degree, I worked as an R & D Engineer, specializing in air and water pollution. Feeling the «call of the law» and business, I obtained my JD Degree and MBA Degree. My engineering background funneled me into a career in Intellectual Property, i.e., patents, trademarks, unfair competition and copyrights.

Professional Experience

I started my legal career as Patent and Trademark attorney with Amchem Products, I then moved on to Stauffer Chemical Corp. as Patent and Trademark Counsel, AMF, Inc. as Senior Patent and Trademark Counsel, Cuno, Inc. as General Counsel and IP Counsel. I started my law firm, Weingram & Zall (1988 – 1996), a boutique Intellectual Property law firm. I then became VP, General Counsel to ASICS America (1996 – 2010). After leaving ASICS (2010), I decided to open my own «shop» not only for assisting large corporations with their IP issues, but focusing on the special IP needs of small businesses.
