You guys are fantastic, letting friends get together without any pressure that people were waiting for a table, I know it was a Wednesday night, but you were fantastic. The food and drinks were delicious, I can’t rave about you guys enough. THANKYOU!

Tim and his staff have a consistent balance of quality service and delicious food. The atmosphere is comfortable and the noise level is pleasant. Occasionally it can be loud from the bar. Tain is an excellent waiter and is alert to making the meal wonderful. Lavender is as good as it gets in Asian Cuisine.

I was a Lotus Blossom regular(by regular, I mean going there when wanting Chinese food, which is only about every 2 – 3 months) I recently decided to try Lavender & will now be a loyal customer until they disappoint! I liked the inside so we’ll definitely also come back to try their drinks & maybe even see what their«nightlife» has to offer

I love Chinese food and there is no good Chinese food near me at school, so my parents were so kind to pick up take out from here the night I came home. They bought me my staple dishes Pad Thai with no meat and no extra veggies and dumplings/potstickers. I got literally plain Pad Thai that tasted like it was drenched in canola oil and then some sirrachha sauce was thrown on top for some flavor. I detest spicy food and my mom always clarifies to make things very very mild, I couldn’t even finish the dish. My dumplings were flat and so oily they slid off my fork and out of my fingers. I will not be returning to this restaurant but will choose lotus blossom or make the hike to Chang An in Concord.

Food was delicious. Poor service and hosts do not greet you upon entering. Elegant yet hang-out atmosphere with blue under lit bar. Nice to entertain for business, casual enough for family. We had the avocado spring roll, lunch special General Tso tofu, Miso soup, veg lo mein, won ton soup and general tso chicken. Service was sub par. Waitress had no personality and dropped the food and didn’t return until we needed water and it was time for the check. There was 1 table in the restaurant and 5 people sitting at the bar during a Black Friday lunch. Only go for the great lunch specials, regular prices are little steep.

The only reason I am giving this 3 stars is due to the setting & the company An old favorite has sadly gone down hill not only in service but the quality of the food as well. Saying the food was just mediocre would be kind. The concept of prompt service & or exuding any personality was totally lost on them. Hostess was friendly but clueless. I wondered if Timmy still owned it? Sad.

Eaten here several times, somethings are great others not so much, crab Rangoon and the chicken lettuce wraps are very good, like the bar very modern and a good atmosphere.

The chicken lo mein was the best I’ve ever had. My boyfriend said the same about his beef lo mein and crab rangoons. Everything came out hot and fresh. We also got some good(but strong) custom drinks. Fast service but not necessarily the warmest. The atmosphere is really nice inside the restaurant even though it’s located in a strip mall.

Nothing to say about the food, but the staff is terrible. They where extremely rude and the manager was no better. They got our order wrong and when we informed them, they said we where lying and refused to right their wrong. Wouldn’t recommend dinning here.

Best Chinese place around! I’ve never been much of a fan of Chinese due to the greasy msg filled food I’d had before but my mom took me here for lunch and I was very impressed it is not your typical Chinese restaurant it is classy and they have amazing food

I’ve been here numerous times and it is the best Chinese food in the area. We’ve brought family and friends with everyone leaving happy and satisfied. The menu changes slightly a couple of times a year. The twin lobsters are a deal when in season; ginger scallion is my favorite. Lettuce wraps are super. Lunch is a steal with soup, salad, appetizer, rice, and entrée. My wife is vegetarian and there’s always something for her. The main dining room is bright and inviting. The bar area is fun and lively. Decent wine offerings, drinks are strong, and a few tap beer options. Weekends can be crazy busy during the winter months so expect a small wait. Piano bar early evening on weekends and Karaōke later at night. TVs to catch the game and a lottery machine for Keno. The food is consistently awesome and I will continue to be a loyal customer.

It is good food and I was pleased the first time we went here, but last night there was a birthday party and I was looking forward to enjoying a nice dinner with my husband, hey I know it is Saturday Night but the noise level was like going to a dance club. I would not expect Karaōke in an Asian Restaurant, sometimes people just want to have a nice dinner and conversation, music is good but when it is too loud to be able to hear the person sitting right next to you, then it is not good. I got Seseme Chicken and was really disappointed. My husband enjoyed his dinner. Great service.

The atmosphere is attractive. I have eaten here at least 5 times. Mostly with a friend who goes often. The amount of food on the lunch specials is impressive. A good deal. For $ 10 I had Chicken with broccoli, brown rice, egg roll, house salad and egg drop soup. The sauce on the Chicken with broccoli was SO sweet! It might as well been pure sugar with a little soy sauce. You may like that. I don’t. Brown rice was way under cooked. Egg roll, greasy, but aren’t they all! Soup was wonderful, as was the iceberg salad. Although, if my family had it they would not appreciate the blue cheese chunks(my fave!). We always get the same server, I don’t know, maybe he is the owner? He loves my friend, looks her in the eye, makes sure she has all she needs, and he never looks my way. If I ask for something(soy sauce please?) he looks at me like I am a maggot. Whoa! Sorry! Don’t know what I did, but I do pay half the bill and large tip every time. Ha ha oh well, I think we’ll go elsewhere next time for a sandwich.

I got some seafood take out recently and the soup was just starchy water with vegetables so minced beyond recognition, just one shrimp cut it in 3 pieces, all of that for $ 9.99. I contacted them and they did not bother to respond. I guess they do their business with Karaōke, so they don’t care.

My mother and I had lunch at Lavendar. I was impressed with the good lunch deal but not very impressed with the food and taste. They offered a salad which was nice but it was iceberg lettuce that looked a little brown and wilty and was sprinkled with blue cheese and a drizzle of tamari or miso dressing. It was anything but Chinese. I had shrimp and vegetables with lo mein noodles. The whitish sauce tasted like uncooked egg white. The jumbo shrimp was tasty but coated with flour or something that took away from the natural texture of jumbo shrimp. My mom ordered fried chicken fingers. The thing is this: we both had indigestion and a lot of stinky gas for the next day. I couldn’t sleep that night because my stomach was all deranged. I’d go elsewhere for a decent lunch. Sorry. We were so disappointed. We were amazed that we have eaten many times at the Chinese Buffet in Marlborough and also in Hudson and with all that variety of food and quantity, we have never gotten sick from their fare.

Called last night before the Pats game started — told delivery would take about 45 minutes. Food showed up 30 minutes later. As always, the food was delicious. The spareribs(on the bone), pineapple shrimp, rice, peking ravioli, house fried rice, tangerine chicken, etc were excellent.

This place has serious karaōke, more often than not the people who sing actually know what they are doing so it’s nice to listen to. Their drinks are delicious and strong! Food is good although their presentation could be improved. Chicken platters should be served with more veggies instead of 2 pieces of cucumbers. Great for a date and great for a party!

My favorite Chinese around, I almost feel bad calling it Chinese as it’s not your standard overworked food mill. It’s classy without being overly pretentious. Their lunch menu is outstanding and conveniently located. At night, it’s very popular with my crowd in Sudbury. The staff is very fun and entertaining. The manager Tim is always there, he remembers you when you return. I highly recommend visiting. The only reason I don’t give it 5 is i’m not a big fan of karaōke.

If you smoke, don’t bother coming here if you smoke cigarets because if you decide to be a decent human being and smoke closer to your car, then don’t bother coming here because they give you a ridiculously hard time. Never coming here again.

The worst takeout/restaurant delivery experience of my life occurred last night. Net Net. You can have good food but it just takes one really negative encounter to lose customers forever. Mission accomplished Lavender Asian Cuisine & Bar. I’ve been to the restaurant no fewer than 5 times in the last 6 mos to eat in & have ordered takeout at least another 5 times during that time period. i.e. this was not my first experience however, it will be my last. I really liked Lavender’s until last night. We ordered takeout. It was a good sized order($ 71) for 3 people. We ordered 1 soup, 1 appetizer, 3 entrees, 1 order of house fried rice &1 side of white rice(because this is the only Chinese restaurant I’ve ever heard of that charges you for white rice…). The order came promptly but one of the entrees was wrong. They delivered ginger chicken with string beans instead of ginger beef with string beans. That’s not the worst thing in the world. I’m a reasonable person. I just thought I’d give them a call to let them know there was an error. I didn’t know if they would offer to swap it, offer a credit on our next visit or simply apologize. I was shocked by their reaction. They did none of the 3 things I expected. Instead, they fought with me insisting I ordered chicken and telling me they would do nothing. & not only would they do nothing, they would be disrespectful, condescending & rude in the process. My reaction to their blatant lack of courtesy was to offer to pack it all up & return it for a refund. They said they wouldn’t refund anything we’d touched. We packed up all of the untouched items(before calling I’d delivered ½ the app, an entrée & the side of white rice to my neighbor who’d placed the order with us) & drove over to Sudbury(keep in mind that we’d ordered takeout because we were hungry & weren’t planning to go out.). The owner was beyond hostile. He said we didn’t bring the food back in the original bag & not all of the items were there. I told him what wasn’t there. He then proceeded to open up each container to see if we’d touched them. I’m not sure if it was his plan to serve this food to other people or just be abusive and waste more of our time. We had to go over what was there versus what wasn’t there three times. He then gave me a new credit card slip to sign. When I asked for the original voided slip(i.e. I wasn’t paying an additional $ 24 for my experience), he became even more hostile & said«We don’t scam people here». We eat out a lot. I’m in restaurants several times a week & my boyfriend is a restaurant general manager. We were both shocked at just how badly the situation was handled & how abusive they were. We will NEVER go back. I wish I’d read the other Unilocal reviews before ever going there. We aren’t the first people to experience this abuse.
