Wonderful Weddings by Steve

Steve almost ruined our wedding. He did an adequate job as an officiant — ran through his lines from the script we provided him but his behavior afterwards was simply atrocious. Immediately after the ceremony, he rudely demanded that we pay him right then and there in cash. If he had given us notice beforehand, we would have had the cash on hand ready to pay. Since we were given no such courtesy, we offered him a check but he refused. Our wedding planner, who was obviously pregnant, offered him all the cash she had ($ 200) and he had the audacity to yell at her and accuse all of us for shortchanging him. Steve then refused to leave the premises and began following our planner around to pester her about the funds, which I believe was wholly inappropriate. My husband and I tried to assure Steve that we would get him the remaining $ 100 — even offering him our driver licenses as collateral but he refused to stop harassing our wedding planner. She finally got to an ATM to pay him off — we still cannot believe he had the audacity to bully a pregnant woman, especially after we offered him 75% of the money and collateral. His parting words, after getting all of his cash, were so rude and disgusting that we can’t even post them here.
Please do not hire Steve — he is a bully and nearly ruined our beautiful day. There are many others that you can hire at his price point — he is an extremely disgruntled actor to which his greatest achievement was as an extra on Modern Family.

The minute we met steve, my husband and I felt totally comfortable with him. I can’t thank Steve enough for the wonderful job he did at my wedding. He had the perfect balance of professionalism and humor, which was really important for us. I will definitely recommend Steve to everyone that’s getting married.

Steve truly completed our wedding day. We have been to so many friends weddings where the officiant was either too boring, too quiet, too intense or too unorganized. We didn’t want to make the same mistake!
My husband is Jewish and I was raised catholic so we decided a non denominational wedding with someone who would allow a little of both religions would be perfect. We didn’t want the emphasis on religion as we just aren’t religious! We did however want some of the traditions, like the breaking of the glass. All the rabbis and priests wouldn’t do a «mix wedding» like we wanted, because you aren’t supposed to pick and choose what parts of the ceremony you want In religion! Haha we wanted to do what we wanted on our day though, and Steve stood out when he said the day was whatever we wanted and he was happy to mix and match.
He is confident and friendly and this comes across in his ceremonies. I had multiple people come up and say how great he was because the crowd was never bored! He even put in some humor when things could have gone wrong. He made us all so comfortable and the experience was more enjoyable than scary. He made the ceremony.
Also he is reasonably priced for the skills he has in order to make a wedding flow perfectly. His acting and improv background means he is never thrown off no matter what unexpected things may happen.

From the day we met Steve we felt this instant connection. It was so easy talking to him. He really helped set the mood and made us feel special. He is an amazing public speaker and has this charisma I can’t describe. When I felt anxious about anything he was reassuring and helped me stay relaxed and focused. Steve is accommodating, professional and easy to work with.

Our wedding, oddly enough, was Sept 28. Same day as reviewer Jess. He did let us know in advance he had another wedding the same day but assured us there would be absolutely no conflict and we would not be rushed. I was happy to hear that as our ceremony was delayed.
He is very experienced and very professional. We sorta threw him a curve ball the day of. We forgot to mention we were incorporating the unity sand ceremony. He was cool and professional. He said not to worry he has it covered. It all went smooth and my wife and I couldn’t be happier.
Also, something very important to us was his great attitude and sense of humor. We interviewed with several officiants but we didn’t get that comforting vibe we did with Steve. Thank you Steve!

Steve did a fantastic job in officiating our wedding Sept. 28, 2013. He was professional, arrived on time, took the time to get to know us prior to the event and incorporated everything we discussed into our ceremony. Humor was a big factor in our wedding, so his easyness was comforting. Our guests speak highly of our ceremony. Thank you Steve for such an amazing job.
