The Polite Dog

Mikelle is fantastic and there is nobody we trust more with our little Otis. We refer to her to friends and family as Otis’ special godmother. She is just the right amount of loving yet expects good behavior out of our little guy which I love. Raising Otis would have been an entirely different experience without the support and guidance from Mikelle. She is truly a special person.

Mikell is amazing!
We are first time puppy adopters and we could not have raised a better pup without Mikell! She loves our fur baby, and has been there for us to answer silly new pup parent questions at any given time, give us training tips, and love our pup as much as we do. She is reliable, responsible, and responsive. Most of all, Mikell is kind, sweet and really cares about all her clients!

Mikell is a modern day Mary Poppins.
She came into my life when i had just moved to the hollywood area and didn’t know who to trust with my dogs. I think all dog owners deal with the difficult question of: Can i trust my kids and house keys to a total stranger?
My Neighbor is a client of Mikell’s and recommended her so I decided to do a consultation. Mikell offers a free consultation where she will come and walk with her human client and her dog clients to gauge compatibility. By the end of the walk i was convinced. She knew how to show affection and tenderness to my dogs without losing her disciplinarian role.
I love my two pooches but they are a handful. One of them especially is a Jack Russell mix and she is a Gremlin, GOT White Walker, and Force of Nature rolled into one. Mikell, true to her business name «The Polite Dog» accepts no sass or nonsense and immediately my dog knows who’s boss.
I don’t mean to say that Mikell is merely strict because she’s not that at all.
She LOVES my dogs and they ADORE her and when they leave to go hiking to Runyon they hop into her SUV and don’t even give me a backward glance.
She sends me photos of the dogs during the day so even at work i can see their happy expressions so i know they are in good care.
Mikell also boards dogs at a very competitive price. She will come to pick up your dog as well so that’s a big plus compared to the boarding places out there. Due to my crazy schedule i’ve given Mikell quite a few short notices for boarding my dogs and she’s always accommodating even through the holidays.
When i was moving my apt I literally found myself making rental decisions with my boyfriend based on whether the house was in Mikell’s working radius.
So in conclusion. if you need a professional, no nonsense Nanny who will love your dog (s) with more care and understanding than even yourself i recommend Mikell.

I can’t even begin to tell you how amazing Mikell is! If I could give her 10 stars I would. There is no one I would trust with my dog but her. The love and care my baby gets when he’s with her is priceless. We met Mikell last summer while hiking Runyon. What stood out to me was how sweet and loving she is with the dogs. You can tell that she loves her job and truly cares about the dogs. When my baby sees her, he runs to her so happy. We lover her so much! I don’t know what I would do without her. When Googooli got very sick after swallowing a bone that got stuck in his tummy, she was on the phone with me at 5am. She helped me calm down so that I can drive to a vet. I was so scared and couldn’t stop crying. Not only that she came to check up on him and texted me every hour to make sure he’s okay. She’s our angel. This is the type of dog walker you want your baby to be with. I’ve had many and there is no one like her. Oh and you will get photos of your dog playing and having a blast while hiking with her and other dogs. Mikell you are wonderful person! We love you and appreciate all you do for us.

A friend of mine from work recommended a dog walker for my hyper active (but loving) 2 year old boxer named Jersey. Jersey is my baby and I only want her to be with people I trust. From the first time I met Mikell it was like a match made in heaven. She obliviously loves animals and especially dogs. She understands them and relates to them. Most importantly she knows how to handle dogs properly especially big hyper ones like mine.
I love the fact that’s she’s adaptable to my busy schedule. I work in the freelance television/​film world so my schedule changes often. Mikell is there at the ready and always makes it easy. Jersey gets an amazing work out; when I come home she’s exhausted from her day with the pack. I love how Mikell takes the dogs to different dog parks and on different hikes and adventures — she always changes it up.
I also enjoy that she’ll send me beautiful pictures from the day — texted to me so that I feel as if I was there watching Jersey play. Her rates are well worth it and very competitive. Her professionalism and attitude are beyond compare.
Quick story — One night I get home and Jersey had broken out in hives. She has swelling all over her body and I was freaking out. I called Mikell to see if she had noticed anything or if the pack were playing in any different type of wooded area. Without hesitation she drove quickly over to my place, examined Jersey and brought with her Benadryl to give her. She stayed with Jersey, helped clean her up and within an hour her hives had cleared up.
This professional loves her job and more importantly cares for the family members that we entrust her.
I don’t often talk people up, but Mikell is worth it and I highly recommend her.

Mikell is the best!
She is extremely knowledgeable about dogs and our hound Lucy loves spending time with her and the rest of the pack.
My wife and I highly recommend Mikell, especially for people that have a high energy dog that requires a lot of exercise.
Mikell is reliable and she always goes above and beyond to make sure Lucy is getting the most out of the hikes.
