Been coming here for years. Food is good too bad the staff now makes this for a horrible dining experience. Seven people working and it took 25 minutes to get my drinks, and another 15 minutes for«parts» of our food to start coming out. When I asked one of the girls in the counter why she put my number back she was extremely rude and exclaimed to me «well you should have said something» avoid yourself the long wait, and horrible service. Do yourself a favor and don’t come here.

I freaking love this place!!! It’s super affordable and super delicious. I always get the carnitas tacos and add cheese, and I can get out for under $ 8 and with a full belly, which is sometimes hard to come by in the valley! You also get free salsa and chips, but the chips aren’t my favorite. Still, it’s quite an awesome deal. It’s speedy, a great value, and has flavorful food. Can’t go wrong with Poquito Más!

No poquito mas por favor! Ok so here is the thing. I have very high standards for Mexican food because i grew up in southern california. 1. the tortilla was thick, crispy and aweful 2. i paid for a vege buritto and she said it would have salsa and avocado in it but it had neither one(i was basically given a bean and cheese) 3. the rice was very good

Had the classic chicken burrito. It was delish. My only complaint is that the salsas aren’t labeled

Mostly always yummy and consistent. Every once in a while the soft taco shell seems a little undercooked and doughy. My go to is the carnitas tacos. I ask for it open faced so all the yummy juices from the carnitas doesn’t get all soaked up into the soft shell.(That’s a good tip!). Know if you go later in the evening(this location is open until midnight) they sometimes run out of carnitas… and sometimes also run out of their Mexican rice. That’s kind of annoying. Nice people work there though.

The food used to be sooooo great! I would go there weekly. Tried it last week — not that great. I don’t know if it was the B team cooks… but it the machiladas cheese weren’t melted. Did not realize until I got home. But the real reason I’m writing this is because on a cold night last week, there were no inside tables available — and one three-person table was taken by an employee who was eating her dinner(that’s fine), but she was also on her phone(with the phone setting set to SPEAKERPHONE!!!). So we had to listen to her two-way conversation for 15 minutes — maybe longer(I left at that point). I don’t think a customer should do that… let alone an employee. Plus there was a group of four in front of us … I don’t think I have ever seen the line move so slowly… Please, this is fast food served fresh… not fast food served as slow as can be. It’s mexican food… we all know what kind of food they have — taco, burrito, quesadilla… It was like a clown car… four people stood together, but ordered one at a time… and the conversation would start again… over and over. Friendly is nice, but if you’re seeing the line get longer … please move them through. Other customers might be on a deadline and need to get in and out. It felt like we were in bizarro land.

For some reason, it’s taking an extraordinarily long amount of time to get our food. I’ve never waited his long to get my food here before. I’ve waited so long now, that I’ve had more than enough incentive and time to write this review. Still no food in sight. What’s wrong with this place tonight? There was only one person in front of me when I ordered. The food is usually delicious, but this long wait has cut into the quality of their service. Did I mention that soda fountain dispenser wasn’t working either? Some lady just dropped all her food and salsa containers on the floor. I had time to help her pick everything up, clean up the floor, and make sure she got squared away. Guess what, I’m STILL waiting for my food. Okay, I’m still«frigin» waiting. What’s wrong with these people? I’ve never had it take so long to get served here. This is ridiculous. The wait goes on. It would have taken less time to go to the Poquito Mas in Burbank or North Hollywood. I can probably still go to one of the two other locations, order my food, and get back here before my order shows up. This is the worst and slowest service I’ve ever had here. I’m amazed at the lack of efficiency of the food prep people, i.e. the cook. Something needs to be fixed here. This location has a serious problem. My food finally showed up. I had time to get perturbed about the wait, and then had more time to write a review, then had more time to add five more paragraphs. I’m only giving them two stars because the food is «usually» exceptional. Let’s hope that the quality of the food hasn’t changed. The food was good, decent, okay; but nothing special to speak of. Definitely not the usual Poquito Mas food. I found out that the new manager was doing the cooking. The order people can take the orders, the servers can serve the food, but if the cook is lost in the kitchen, then everybody looses. Apparently the manager doesn’t have the first clue on how to cook the food. I’m sure I’ll be back, but it won’t be soon. Next time I’m heading to the Burbank or North Hollywood location. I think thus location needs to replace the manager. He’s lost and inept.

Was excited to try this place out because a friend recommended it. Walked in at 1:30pm on a Saturday and they told me they weren’t open yet. I asked what time they opened and the guy said, «Like at 2 or 3.» Huh? 2 or 3?! You don’t know what time you open? Unilocal says they open at 11am today, don’t know what’s going on. Bummer I didn’t get to try it out.

I went here last night with my boyfriend and all I can say is YIKES. The food was so bland it made no sense. I got a chicken burrito and my boyfriend got a steak burrito, both were flavorless. It tasted like they cooked the food, but added no seasoning or spice at all. Even the salsas from the bar and chips tasted bland. This literally has to be the worst burrito that I’ve ever eaten in my life. I don’t know if we caught them on a bad night, but needless to say we won’t be coming back.

U know, I like poquitos mas. It’s good and it’s fresh. The chicken is charbroiled and u can taste the char. I love that. However for the people who think this is better than Baja fresh ur trippin. Now… I usually order a chicken burrito enchilada style from these kinds of places so that’s what my review is based off of. Their enchilada style chicken burrito isn’t as bomb as Baja. Nonetheless, the food here is bomb and def fresh. U can’t go wrong if ur in the area.

Wow! you need to try their tostada salad they are famous for. It is insane how delicious their salad is, and how flavorful it is. The tostado shell is super crispy and seasoned well, and the chicken has such a good sauce. I also ordered the chicken quesedilla, One of my favorite dishes and they did it well. I love how cheap the menu is too for authentic mexican food and for fresh ingrediants and hand scratched food im surprised its not more expensive.

This place is the best. Been coming here 20 years. God I’m old. But this joint Blows Baja fresh out of the water. Get the ahi tacos. My favorite anywhere. And their tostadas are enormous and delicious and so fresh. I like that they have indoor and outdoor seating. And free parking in their lot makes it all easy. It’s my favorite lunch in the area and all at such reasonable prices.

Yes! Un poquito MAs POR favor! One of the Best Mexican restaurants in Studio city. The competition is fierce in this part of town! Hand made fresh tortillas. Salsa bar. Quick service. Excellent staff. Clean. No parking-hello it’s SC. Location Location. I usually get the Asada burrito, it’s not too big just perfect. Carne is awesome quality too. I place the order ahead always. I’m only giving them a four because their food is amazing, but other than that their customer service isn’t the best. The cashiers look like they’re hating their job. Other than that I love the place.

If I have an option to leave 0 stars on this place I would ! My fiancé and I ate here with my two year old few days ago. Keep in mind I am also a pregnant woman. Few hours after eating there that evening all three of us or should I say 4 got extremely sick from food poisoning. It was so bad that I was hospitalized with a heartbeat of 140 and my unborn baby was very distressed. My two year old daughter was hospitalized with severe dehydration as well and kept in the icu overnight. I called to speak to the manager to complain and was insulted by what was said over the phone. She wanted to «credit«me back for the food ! She missed the entire point of how severe and unethical it is for her staff to not properly clean their equipment. To add insult to injury when asked if her staff washes their hands and cleans her reply was that she«already had a meeting with the general manager«in regards to cleanliness. … My fiancé and I are just absolutely appalled. We still have not fully recovered and my fiancé is literally taking care of me and my sick daughter in between his violent spells of vomiting. Such a disaster … We are reporting this place to the health department.

I’ve heard so many great things about this place, I was really excited to give it a try. The Chile Pasilla plate sounded good to me, so I asked the Cashier if it was very spicy. He said it was not spicy. So I ordered it and sure enough — way too spicy! Maybe that’s just me. I mean, I can barley handle hot cheetos. But the dish as a whole(irregardless of how spicy it was) was not very impressive. The chicken was dry and there was not much flavor throughout. I should have gone the safe route and tried something more crowd friendly. I’ll give it another shot and update this review if anything changes.

My favorite is the big tostada in a flour shell bowl. I load it up with all the tasty fresh salsas from the salsa bar. Burritos and street taco’s are really good too. They make their own tortillas! When I have taco night at my house I order these tortillas to go. Everything item is fresh and made to order. You order at the register, wait about 10 minutes and they call your number. You can also order ahead for pick-up. Place is always packed. Excellent fresh tasty Mexican food.

This is a new one… we followed the reviews on Unilocal regarding Poquito Mas and stopped in for lunch.(2) carnitas tacos(1) tostada carne asada salad. Pretty dissapointing. I’ve never had soupy carnitas and them tostada salad was pretty bleech… no taste, steak was okay and the tostada shell was stale. I know — who in their right mind would order a tostada salad? I did — and it’ll probably be my last.

I am a fan of Poquito Mas, but this location has gone down hill in the 3 years I’ve lived in this area. The last two times I have eaten at this location the food has been sub par. The 1st I had dry rice and burnt pinto beans and the 2nd time my enchiladas were burnt. Only the chips and salsa were consistently delicious. I’ll try going to a different Poquito and hope the food is better quality that I know it can be!

I love Poquito Mas! I always order the Felipe Burrito and I am never disappointed. The workers always go out of their way to make sure that you love your food. Their sauces are to die for and I always get extra to put on my burrito. It’s a clean place(which is important to me) and the food is made behind a glass so you can see what they are doing. Oh oh and their steak quesadilla is killer. And their mucho mas steak burrito.

Fast review Food: every meal comes chips and salsa(fresh salsa and good chips), got rice and beans(wasn’t as flavorful as I expected it to be but texture wise it was good) cheese enchiladas(super bland I took maybe 3 bites and felt it was pointless eating). Ambiance: cute location, I like how they have outdoor seating, the patio seating was refreshing but the floor was uneven which was somewhat annoying. Service: pay at the register and they bring the food to you. Everyone was friendly and nice. Tips: street parking

Good fish tacos for a chain: tasty grilled fish, fantastic salsa, on slightly seasoned toasted tortillas. This wasn’t the first time I’ve been to Poquito Mas(I cannot recall which other location I went to), and the quality seems consistent across the locations. Regardless of whether you like fish, tacos are the way to go here — just do one of the others such carnitas, steak, or chicken.

I’m glad we decided to come to this location instead of the Burbank one. This was much more mellow and didn’t have as crazy of a lunch rush. They also have a little parking lot which is more convenient than the Burbank location. That being said, the food was just as good! Got the shrimp San Felipe burrito, with a carnitas taco on the side. The carnitas was juicy and tasty but the tortilla fell apart on me half way through. The burrito was delicious and stuffed with big savory shrimps. There’s only a few tables to sit at but it wasn’t a problem. The salsa bar was fully stocked with a wide variety. If we decide to go to Poquito Mas again and it’s during lunch time, this is the location we’ll go back to!

Ever since discovering Poquito Mas, I have been to several of their locations and always loved the food. Obsessed with their salsa bar, I can never remember which one I loved most so i grab a bit of each. Service was great, the food came out fast, prices are fair. Portions are great for lunch, not too heavy or filling. My husband loves their steak, I am partial to the fresh seafood and usually stick with a few tacos. Great flavors, fresh and tasty, I’ll be back for more!
