I am Dan Cohen, a California Certified Massage Therapist, #340. At my clinic we offer bodywork to assist the body to heal. We are experienced in TMJ, Carpal Tunnel, Plantar Fasciitis. We do corporate and event chair massage. This is usually on a contractual base with a schedule. Onsite massage does reduce injuries and build morale. We repeatedly have obtained a 97% reduction of soft tissue WC claims within three months of starting the program

History

Established in 1999.

In 1999 I graduated from Touch Therapy Institute in Encino. I began using chair massage at companies to relieve workers from repetitive motion pain. Clients are Kent Landsberg Paperland, Amcor Sunclipse, Penske Logistics & Los Angeles Poultry. The coworkers at these companies have been enjoying our massages for years.

I have studied many modalities since then. Among those I often use are Lymphatic Massage, Cranial Sacral Theraspy, Myofascial Release, and more, such as Swedish.

One I use the most is Korean Martial Therapy (KMT) or as it is known in Korea, Hwal Bop Do. This I have studied in Korea Town from Master Yun. It is quick and can be performed clothed or unclothed with oil or without. This and other Asian bodywork forms I have studied allow me to relieve pain and improve mobility within the guidelines of Jewish law.

In 1998 I began work at the current location on Ventura Blvd.

My interest in massage goes back t0 1971 when I sought massage for back pain.

Since 1999 I have been a professional massage therapist. I started when the company I managed had 74 WC claims in a year. I became licensed to provide massage to our employees to relieve their pain. The year after starting we had 14 injuries reported. The next year it was only 2. Believe me when I say, massage works!
