Central Station Media is located in the heart of the entertainment industry in Studio City. We are a mile from Universal Studios and CBS Radford and other major studios & Hollywood.

Central Station Media has its own Green Screen shooting studio and also Casting facilities.

Our production and Post Production offices are in the same premises.

Our studio is well equipped with the latest in 4k & 6k UHD and HD production.

We have self tape and remote audition facilities.

Our work has aired on television stations, theaters, and online. Our work speaks for itself.

We built Central Station Media from the ground up — one client at a time. We have grown with strong referrals from our clients, agencies, TV stations and others.

We have done over 700 TV commercial spots for a very diverse set of industries. We also shot feature films, short films, and music videos that have been released into theaters and on T.V.

History

Established in 2001.

Central Station Media handles production and post production including high end animation work.

Commercials, Industrials, Feature films and short films.

Central Station Media started as a Production House creating music videos and commercials for TV.

Central Station Media went on to do a Full Length Feature Film and acclaimed short films.

The commercial business also grew and Central Station Media went on to do larger and bigger projects.

Our work in motion graphics and animation is well known.

We can take a project from its inception — create concepts, write scripts, do the preproduction, produce it and finally do the post on it.

Or any part thereof.

We have our own studio setup. Our green screen stage is home to our own productions as well as we rent it to other productions.

We have our own high end camera packages with Sony FS7 & Sony F3 cameras with Ziess prime lens set and Cinematic Zoom lens.

Our lighting package includes Mole Richardson LED fresnel light package, Kinos

These guys are awesome!
The studios are new and clean, the location is a pretty convenient drive from Hollywood and it’s super central in The Valley. Staff was super friendly, and we were able to compete our shoot with no problem. Rates are more than reasonable and Kevin will make sure you are taken care of. Also they provide 2 parking spaces for studio rentals, which can be clutch during peak hours. Overall had a great experience.

I produced a small shoot at Central Station Media on 10÷24÷15. Cast and Crew size = 12. I wouldn’t suggest having a cast and crew over 15 unless you have staggered call times.
Our shoot day was split up into two parts, inserts and a green screen news segment. The pre-​lit greenscreen was a plus as it saved time. Also, the HMU/​Kitchen area is very convenient. The size of the space worked fine for what we needed and the staff was very helpful in assisting us with our needs.
There is limited parking so I had to feed the meters for my small crew every two hours along Ventura Blvd. which wasn’t a big deal. However, you are given several parking spaces on the top lot which I used for my talent and it was very convenient.
I only have two minor issues with the space:
1. Since they are new to this location, the organization of the Grip and Electric package wasn’t as great as it could have been but I’m sure that will improve in time. In addition, a few more flags, floppies and small frames and diffusion options (or even some gels) would have been helpful. No biggie though.
2. There is an audition space just adjacent in the same building and we had people coming into our little foyer area often looking for their audition. Not a big deal but a little more clear signage provided by CSM for our doors and parking spaces would have definitely helped out. Again, no biggie.
All in all, this is a great space and I will be recommending it to all of my colleagues. If I could give 4 ½ stars I would! Upinder and Keven are great guys and I will definitely use them again.

If you need to self-​tape, come here. I got the 30 minutes for $ 35 including edit package. I only needed one edit to place slate/​personal question before performance scene. I brought my own Reader since I wanted to be looking in the specific direction. This is definitely worth the money for the lighting, sound and editing. Great MOV file that’s easy to upload for $ 35 beats owing a friend. Without a studio, a friend could never deliver the same results. FIY I parked at a meter on Fountain by El Pollo Loco. That side has 2hr parking. You can’t park at this lot so give yourself time to find parking.

I don’t happen to have equipment that I’m able to do a quality audition tape on and am very glad I’ve found Central Station Media. They are always very flexible and responsive to the needs of my schedule and when the audition is due. They send it out right away, let me choose my best take, and Kevin who I’ve taped with is very relaxed and courteous. Last time I had a tape my agent asking for it to be tighter shot and they were able to zoom in and resend it to her in time totally going above and beyond. I’ve made audition tapes on the weekend as well.

I needed to self tape an audition with short notice. I am glad I went to Central Station Media. I was able to get an appointment to tape my audition really quick and the quality is awesome! The lighting in each studio is very well done and the editing is beyond professional. They are so good I have gone to them twice. On top of that, the price is great.
