Business Owner
Tess Everett Murphy is a professionally trained specialist in the conservation and restoration of oil paintings and frames.
She served an apprenticeship under Guy V. Reed, a restorer who in turn was trained by Helmut Ruheman, for four decades the foremost authority in his field as consultant restorer to London’s National Gallery and Chief of Technology for the Courthauld Institute in London. He also wrote the authoritative book, The Cleaning of Paintings, 1968.
