Melissa Y.

Business Owner

Melissa is an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and a Pennsylvania licensed Registered Nurse (RN) with a vast range of over 35 years of clinical experience in obstetrics, labor/​delivery, neonatal care, and the NICU at Pocono Medical Center. Melissa graduated from St Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing. She started her specialized lactation career in 1988. After two years of lactation education, she became a CLC in 1991, and went on to IBCLC in 1993.

Melissa achieved «Clinical Expert» status on the Ladders of Clinical Excellence in 2009, was recipient of the prestigious «Nursing Excellence of the Year» award in 2006, as well as the Dr. Frist «Humanitarian of the Year» award in 1986. Melissa has been a guest lecturer in lactation for local Nursing School Programs including Northampton Area Community College, Monroe County Technical Institute and East Stroudsburg University. She has had articles published in the Pocono Record and the Pocono Parent Magazine. She is
