Elevated Fitness

Best gym ever when i’m in town, and was my hometown gym when I lived in Ohio! Solid hammer strength selection, heavy Dumbbells and generally quiet-​especially late at night.

Decent gym overall. The reason I prefer this gym over others is that you have ²⁴⁄₇ gym access with a fob key. Great for night owls like me. It’s a smaller gym and not as open and bright a space as I’d ideally like, but certainly acceptable and never crowded. The weight machines and free weights seem older with chipped paint and scratches, but are all functional. Clientele here is definitely more «bros» — lots of males with lots of muscle and few females. But I’ve never let that stop me from working out (and neither should you ladies!) Wifi is poor at times and I’ve had trouble streaming TV shows before. The gym is privately owned, so if you you’re only in town for awhile and need limited membership you can make a deal with the people in charge. Bottom line: gym with average facilities, has the basics, 24 hour access

I dropped in elevated fitness to take a class as an intro. Maybe you will think this to be funny, maybe you won’t. It definitely was not funny to me. I had dropped in to take a pole dancing class on a Thursday night. I heard from a friend a few months ago that the first class was free and thought I would give it a shot as in why the hell not we only live once.
Upon my arrival I had to ring a bell as I am not an «exclusive member» of this «elevated» gym. What seemed like a few minutes went by and I was approached by a strapping young lad and explained to him I was here to partake in this pole dancing class as a free session. I thought it was an offering to the public of a sample of great service and education in this new exercise form to me.
Quickly I was stamped out. «Uhh, I don’t know what that’s about, we don’t give stuff away for free here, we value ourselves too much» I thought to myself really? The bodybuilder then called over to his coach mentor manager bodybuilder and said «EH!, We have another rando wanting a freebie here!?!» Gentlemen #2 comes over and Throws his hands in the air shaking his head «OH HELLL NO NO NO, WE DONT DO THAT HERE» (it became apparent to me be suddenly that they must have a lobby full of potential customers, or maybe even homeless people every day barking at them for free lessons)
The manly men led me upstairs to the class and talked to the instructor of the pole dancing class. Apparently what was going down was not good. I sensed a proper defense by the instructor to let me attend her class for one time for now cost and finally an acceptance of her treaty with elevated fitness enforced the burly boys. The instructor looked at me with eyes empathetic to my plight and said «Sorry hun, these guys aren’t going to let you take the class for free, it will be $ 10» I quickly stated «I don’t have any cash as I thought I could participate in a free class» and was told I could watch for free. So, I sat my eager to straddle the pole rear on the ground and watched for about a half hour and then left.
As I walked out little man #1 mumbled «I got this» and then went on to say «Sorry about that kiddo but we value ourselves here too much to give away free stuff to any tom, dick, & harry» I looked at him and smiled. I think a little birdy flew by. Wow they sure would never sell themselves. IMPRESSIVE.
So, I guess Elevated Fitness is for high rollers only. Don’t go in there if you have any bills less than a 100. Man those poles are expensive
