Patterson Auto Body

I was recommended by Acton Ford for this place. However, they refused to repair my front bumper minor damage suffered from hitting a curb and insisted to replace it with new. I have eventually had it repaired by another shop around one third of this place’s estimate ($ 1500) and looks like new again. If you have insurance to cover the full cost that is probably fine to go there. One good thing though was their estimate software was fairly detailing about all the items and billing information.

My civic had been hit in a parking lot and the front bumper cover was ruined. I called Patterson’s (the receptionist was really nice too!) and ended up speaking with a gentlemen named Frank. He was very open to discussing the alternatives that I had brought up regarding the replacement of the bumper cover. He offered me the three different quotes I was looking for and was very happy to answer any of my questions. Out of those three options, I ended up having Patterson’s order the OEM bumper cover and paint and install it.
Well, I picked my car up last night and I am happy to say they did a fantastic job. I would not hesitate to take any of my vehicles back to them or recommend them to friends and family. Thank you Patterson’s!

The body work is flawless and my car looks brand new. I drive a VW and they were also able to fix electrical issues I was having. ¹⁰⁄₁₀ would recommend taking your car here.

This was the third estimate I received and the only one which included a description of a cheaper option. Apparently, if I allowed for a slight change in paint finish I could halve the price. I opted for this choice and the finished result was wonderful. I could not tell the difference and I saved a lot of money.

I just picked up my 2012 Subaru Legacy from Patterson. They did a great job and finished it within the timeframe they promised me! They are responsive and very helpful with all my questions including helping me rent a car while mine was being repaired. And another plus, they warranty their work for as long as you own your car which is so much better than most shops. I would definitely recommend them and would use them again!

We’ve used Patterson’s twice in the last five years, and have found them to be honest and to do excellent work. Front desk personnel are very helpful, and Frank is willing to explain the repair in detail. Would’t hesitate to recommend — I trust them!

I’ve used Patterson Auto Body not once, not twice, but three times. My insurance company suggested I used them the first time, and each time since they’ve been friendly, professional, they’ve performed the repairs perfectly, and within (or EARLIER) than their time estimate. It’s literally a family business. Frank, Frank Jr, Bill and Meg all do an outstanding job of making sure their customer is well served. It’s nothing fancy, they just do what they say they’ll do, when they say they’ll do it, and it’s always done right. You can’t ask for more.

I know it’s weird to review a company positively, when you had to junk a car, but I’m gonna do it.
My beloved Explorer was 13 years old, and had too much body rust to pass inspection. Damned Unibody construction. Okay, you deal. What they did do, is print me out a valuation on the truck, which was above Blue Book Value, for the work I had done on the truck. This made a big difference to me, on my trade in negotiations, with the Ford dealership. The guy at Richardson’s I dealt with didn’t have to do it, but, he went out of his way to help me out.
They didn’t charge me a red cent, for their help. My neighbor, Bill, who has lived here all his life, says these guys are the Real Deal. They will
help you out, with insurance appraisals.

Previously, I had good experiences with Patterson. However, this time has been a disaster. I just picked up my car and the wheel nuts on both rear tires were coming off. I complained to Frank and he suggested that it was because someone was trying to steal my wheels but stopped and replaced the wheel caps after loosing the nuts. This was after having to put the car in for a second time because they neglected to complete the work that was originally requested. Additionally, instead of repairing the passenger mirror as requested, they GLUED it on angled in such a way that the driver only sees the ground and can no longer be adjusted. I highly recommend NOT taking your vehicle to Patterson Autobody in Stow.

I don’t really have too many details about this place even though I’ve had two cars fixed here. I guess autobody shops might just be like that. It’s not like I comparison shopped or anything. This is close to my house, and insurance was picking up the bill, so I went there.
They did a couple things that I found helpful. First, when the insurance appraiser was only planning on giving us money for used parts, this body shop had the appraiser come back out and somehow talked him into letting us get new parts. Secondly, they did a good job of making sure that the appraiser didn’t skip any of the damaged parts from when I pummelled a deer. I know the insurance company was just trying to save money and so I’m glad the bodyshop identified all the problems (which admittedly they were motivated by money to do). But in general, I’d rather have dollars go to the local bodyshop than to the big evil insurance corporation.
And finally, they did get me a very good deal on a rental car with the local Enterprise guy. It was cheaper than anything I would have been able to arrange on my own, so they get props for that.
It did take a little longer than they originally estimated on getting my car back, so that’s why they didn’t get five stars, but in general, I thin they are a good business.
