Roto Rooter was called in for a backed up toilet in a men’s room. the tech was prompt, courteous, and was in and out of the office with no interruptions or distractions. We use Roto Rooter for the ease and convenience, as well as their great customer service. Keep up the great work guys and girls!

I meant to write this review a long time ago, but I tossed the idea out the window because I thought why waste my time writing about something everyone knows? Seeing as I just had one of the most wonderful and least costly experiences with a new local HVAC/​plumber I decided to tell people about the bad service I had with Roto-​Rooter and nudge them to do some research and use a local service.
I had an appointment on Wednesday, Jun 24, 2015 to unclog my bathtub between 3:30PM-3:30PM. Does that time line make sense to you? It didn’t make much sense to me either so I called to ask the expected wait time logically assuming that there had been a typo. 5:30PM, should have been the latest arrival time, I was told. 5:30 rolls around… it’s 6:15PM. I called the company to check the status of the technician. 7:30PM I called again as I had plans that evening to meet with a friend for a late dinner. The technician didn’t arrive until AFTER 8:30PM… He was polite and got the job done, but there was no apology made for his tardiness and after forty-​five minutes of work I was handed a bill over $ 450. To get a clog out of the drain.
Look I get that people get busy and sometimes tasks turn out to be a little more complicate and require more of the technician’s time, but don’t overbook yourself or send someone else out. A timeline is set for a reason, my dudes.
I found a local handyman who charges $ 75 an hour and gives great deals on parts. He’s always friendly and clean and helps you understand the issue and even showed me how to maintain the boiler on my own. I’ll have to find his business on here and write a glowing review for him there.
Roto-​Rooter is a money and time suck. Don’t go with someone who is going to overcharge you to complete basic maintenance or perform a relatively simple task.

do not call them or use them. they are the biggest liars in the world.
i own a condo i am renting. my neighbor ceiling downstair was leaking so i called them. they came out next morning. the guy called me and said he knows the problem but cant tell me because it will cost me for a diagnoistic. i asked him if he is going to check downstairs first. he said «no need». im like ok, since i assume its a chain so they have good ethics at being honest. he called me about 30 mins later and say its all set. and he then told me he knocked on my neighbors door after but she wasnt home. my neighbor said she never heard a knock. but he left anyway
that same night, my neighbor told me its still leaking. i called these guys and told them to go look at the issue again. finally they went to her place. open the ceiling and fixed the original issue.
so i was charged twice.
so why didnt the plumber look at the issue from her unit first to see where its coming from first? was it too early at 8am to think clearly?
i called rotorooter 3 times. 3 times. 3 times. finally spoke to the «plumbing manager», after 2 others times being promised a call. they knew they messed up so not calling me back would assume i would dust this issue to the side.
he said his guy told him differently. of course he told u differently.
oh yeah, the protacol:
diagnostics dont cost anything. right?
the plumber told me its gonna cost me for the information. but the manager i spoke to say its against company’s policy to charge for a diagostic.
LOL. these guys are the worst. dont use them.

Zack K. was extremely helpful and gave excellent service in fixing our kitchen pipe. He was professional and made sure the job was done correctly. I could not have asked for better service.

These folks are the most knowledgeable and professional in the business. Same day service and called before they came in enough time for me to drive home from work! Josh was great. He explained everything and gave me options. A little pricey but you pay for the knowledge not just the cleaning of drains.

Contacted Roto-​Rooter Monday morning and Gilbert came Monday afternoon. It was a little more expensive than I was anticipating but when factoring in same day service and a resolution, I can say it was worth it. Gilbert was very professional and had a large machine to snake and cut tree roots and pull them out. Yes, tree roots were growing in my cast iron sewer line and he snaked out a plastic shopping bag full of them. No more backed up lines and we can now flush our toilets without worrying about flooding the bottom floor bathroom/​man cave.

Roto Rooter was called to help with a toilet back up we had in our condo. It was so stressful and Roto Rooter was at our home within 90 minutes. Joe was the Roto Rooter rep and he was so polite and helpful. Joe gave us all our options and helped relieved so much stress we had. Joe fixed the toilet back up and it was about $ 600. Then he had the Roto Rooter flood restoration team come the next day. Tom was the rep from flood re-​mediation. He kept us informed every step of the way. He contacted our insurance company while at our home and took care of everything. I was so impressed with every aspect of Roto Rooter’s work. I highly recommend this Stoughton Roto Rooter.

I had a clogged drain that was backing up into my utility sink.
Could not get a local plumber to even return a call for 24 hours.
My wife suggested I try Roto-​Rooter.
They had an appointment that morning and kept me informed about their arrival time.
I was never so happy to see this crew arrive. They were courteous, and a pleasure to work with. They cleaned out two lines in under an hour and the job site was cleaner when they left, then when they arrived.
I now have two new rules.
1. When I have a plumbing or drain problem, call Roto-​Rooter. Like the song says «Away Goes Troubles Down The Drain.»
2. Listen to my wife more often!

I had some backage into my basement shower. I was able to make a same day appointment. He was a little late but I was called and informed the plumber was stuck on another job.
From the time he arrived and finished it was less than an hour. Ron was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly.
Do I think $ 475 for an hours work of snaking a drain is pricey? Heck yes but it is dirty work and not many other people are going to do it.
I would use again. I just wish the pricing was cheaper.

High tech equipment was used to quickly identify the issue!
Honestly. a fiber optic camera was snaked through the pipe. like the house had a colonoscopy.
Once the motorized auger was sent in. the issue was resolved!
Clean, efficient, friendly work!
Could Joe plumber have done it for a little less money… maybe. when got around to me.
But I wanted it done, now and done right. You get what you pay for.

Every local plumber refused to come out to diagnose/​treat our issue. Roto Rooter comes out with no fee for diagnosis, and the work was wonderful and I thought the prices were fair. The best part was our tech, Bob Bickerstaffe. He was so nice and patient. Thorough and clean too. We will definitely be calling RR again!

Great customer service. He explained everything and made the whole experience as pleasant as possible. I highly recommend him. Very prompt service. He cleaned up everything perfectly and was a pleasure to work with.

I wish I had checked the other Unilocal reviews before calling these people. Like many others, they scheduled an appointment (to show up between 12 and 4 the next day) and cancelled at 3:50 on the day they were supposed to come. There’s a severe lack of professionalism in canceling after they were supposed to arrive.
If you have a problem don’t count on Roto-​Rooter to fix it.

My washing machine draining hose broke and it started leaking, when i called the customer service line was helpful, but they confused me with someone else when they sent the conformation email. after giving me a 2 hour window, they said the plumber would be 45 minutes away, after that they called and said he could not make it today and they scheduled for the next morning between 8 & 12, i said 8 would be a little too early on a Saturday morning, if they could make my appointment at the end of that time window, and the lady said it is ok. so the next morning they called around 7:30 in the morning and i told them if they could make it between 10 and 12 and they said fine. they didn’t call at all, i called around 2:20 PM. and explained they said i will be the next on the list. but they didn’t call back until 4, they told me he is on his way, an hour later they called and said the guy couldn’t find a parking spot so he took off!!!
i wen’t downstairs to the doorman he said no one showed up? then i called they said the next appointment would be on monday. so i just cancelled and going to contact another company.

Stay away from any Rooter Rooter. They are trained thieves that want nothing more than to screw the consumer

Responsive, quick and efficient. Called them on a Sunday and they came within 2 hours and didn’t charge me a weekend fee. The guy was very friendly and was done fixing my disposal in less than a half hour!

Kitchen sick had clogged and despite our efforts to use a snake to unclog it ourselves, it continued clogged.
Elie came on Patriot’s Day and was fast and friendly. Thank you!
Price: $ 450. We get a 6-​month guarantee and he left us a bottle with enzymes for monthly pipe treatment.

Would use again and recommend for drain service.
Pros:
Live person picks up and takes the appointment with an email followup.
Driver arrived with knowledge of history (had them snake the same drain almost ten years ago for tree roots)
Discussed options on how he was going to do the job then agreed before starting.
They have all the tools and parts to do a proper job that they stand behind.
Cons (only reason for one star under five):
They are a little pricey, almost $ 400.00 (but would gladly use them again).
