Julia is awesome when it comes to customer service. She is one of the hardest working people I have ever met and her prices are very reasonable. My friend told me about Julia’s and I am so glad she did. It is a hidden gem and Stoughton is so lucky to have it.

Julia’s Alteration shop opens at 9:00am. «Julia«did not open doors til 9:35 am~ Was rude and in a bad mood it seemed to see our dress, she had my daughter in tears for her Prom fitting. I was trying to be pleasant because the prom was 10 days away and Julia had fixed the dress twice already~ it came from a Bridal shop and the dress went from fitting beautifully with just 2 things needed~ *Neck strap/shoulder to be tightened and hem the bottom of the dress,* to the dress too tight in the neck and arm pit and we couldn’t zipper the dress because the shoulders were brought up too high, therefore the zipper was now stationed up on the rib cage. I understand mistakes happen, just wanted to get it fixed for the Prom… this is a fun time/event. try for no stress. She proceeded to tell my daughter she had no right to buy this dress, that it was too small!(only after it was altered) She made my daughter feel like she was chubby and she was trying to fit in a small size dress. My daughter is sixteen and 105 lbs and the dress fit beautifully in the Bridal Shop except for the top portion because she has tiny chest, and of course to hem the length. Julia told me with an attitude. that I should just fix the dress myself because in conversation I told her I worked in a factory sewing for my first job at 14.(But I am paying $ 100. for her to do it?) She ended up putting in a corset in the back that was very tacky, thick dull material and I was not pleased.(no effort to match the style of the dress) She knew that I only had 10 days til Prom and made me wait 6 more days. Didn’t care about our situation at all. We drove an hour and a half to her place. We had no choice but to except the dress 3 days before Prom, will NEVER go there again, not professional, the shop is dirty and she seems to have no love for her occupation, beads were falling off the dress, it was full of wrinkles and had to be fixed by the Bridal Shop which was one more day. Did I mention after she ruined the dress so it could not zipper, she wanted $ 50. for the extra work for the corset? ~ I found a different ribbon in the end that looked a little better on my own* horrible experience.
