I have been a member of liberty bay credit Union for 9 years! The staff at the Stoneham branch always treated me well! Always asked how my kids were doing! With that being said… I applied for my first loan through the loans department in Braintree! I spoke with Tracy and Jeanie! First was Tracy who told me it would take 24 hours to get approved. After 24 hours I call to check how things were coming along. I was told that it was it was still in review. I tried one more time around around 4:30pm because it was now Friday and the loan department would be closed for the weekend. When Tracy answered the phone… she (with much attitude) once again told me it was still in review and I would have to wait until Monday to have my answer! Monday rolls around and I get the call! APPROVED! 14,000 Great! Now I speak with Jeanie! Just have to follow procedure for the loan. The paperwork was e-​mailed to me. Looking over the requirements I see that it says for collateral loans (vehicle must be less than 6 years old and fewer than 85k) I immediately call back and asked about this clause) I was told that I don’t have to worry about section four. Great 3 days later we find a car. Drop a deposit! Total loan amount is 12,500! I call the bank to finalize the paperwork! Do you have the vin number? Yes I do here it is. Tracy .“oh that vehicle doesn’t qualify, its to old” I informed her of what I told about section four. Well that’s policy I wouldn’t have told you that! We’ll give you more money and you can buy newer! No! Hang up call back to speak with Jeanie. You told me that I didn’t have to worry about section four. «I didn’t tell you that» really? So basically your calling me a Liar? I never once was looking for a ’09. Only a 07′ and 08′ this is probably information that should be given before they run the credit check. I am so disappointed with how this turned out! Costing them a personal member. as well as my business! THIS REVIEW IS FOR THE LOAN DEPARTMENT ONLY!

Where do I begin. The manager was very rude to my wife. I received my debut card and it would not work. Stay away. We are fed up with them. Closing my account as soon as my checks clear.

Love the staff at the Boston branch, always happy, attentive, and ready to serve. The folks at the Braintree branch are nice too but you can’t beat Boston.

The staff/​customer service at Liberty Bay Credit Union has been exceptional. I have savings/​checking, certificate of deposits and a home equity line with them. Each transaction I have done with Liberty Bay has been smooth, errorless (unlike my other bank) and prompt. The friendliness and attention that staff give their customers is an additional bonus. I would and have recommend Liberty Bay Credit Union to others.

This is the worst bank you could ever deal with! I don’t know how they are still in business. I had requested for new cards for my expired card and they kept sending my husband’s card (3 times). I don’t know how that simple request is very difficult to understand. I also informed them about an international trip we were taking so they were aware that transactions would be made outside the country during that week and they still flagged the accounts. Cannot wait to close all accounts here. Very very very disappointing experience with a bank!

My family and I went to open an account. The women behind the desk acted as though she had better things to do than take care of us. We brought legal documents only to be told they were not enough. Then said to call back at the beginning of the week. We did and was told that they wouldn’t have an answer about opening a simple account until later in the week. Called back and was told it would take another 7– 14 days? To open a checking/​savings account? Really? talk about incompetent.
