I’ve been going to Paul to get my hair cut for 8 years, and I’ve always had an incredible experience. Nowadays I just go in and tell Paul to do his thing, I don’t bother bringing a photo or trying to explain what I want. Somehow he can read my mind, haha. They’re at a different location now up Montvale Ave, he’s sharing a place with Lisa’s House of Hair. I can proudly say my hair is my best feature and I get complimented on my hair almost every day. I love my hair! I’ve gotten my hair cut and permed(«body wave») here, colored a few times, but coloring my hair just isn’t my thing. I would never go to another salon, I would travel the world and back just to have Paul do my hair!

Can you give negative stars? It’s been a year, to date since my most horrible, disgusting and completely upsetting trip to Hair Fetish. Awful, I’m having like nightmares right now writing this and I may tear up. Let me give you some back story. I was starting a new job and wanted to get a fresh, new hair cut so my mom had said she had a coupon to this place so I decided to go. BADIDEA, I should have just went where I normally went but stupid me said, ‘Okay, I’m broke this is a free cut so I’ll try it.” WRONG! I went in with an idea and a picture to show and get it mimicked, it was a shoulder length cut, I had gone in with very long hair. He suggested he would do his own version, a bit longer than what the picture was. He wanted to keep my length and just shorten the layers, which should have been a red flag but I went with it. He cut my hair and didn’t dry it. He wanted to talk about his life to me and shoved me out with a wet-head. Are you serious?! So I couldn’t see it when I was there, I went home, dried it and just balled my eyes out. Not once have I ever cried over a haircut until then. I had a mullet, yep. a mullet. The place is as dingy on the inside as it is on the outside, I should have never went. I ended up having to cut my hair short to even the hack-job out and I hated my hair as short as it had to be, that is how bad of a haircut I received from HF.

I’m pretty low maintenance and don’t like to spend too much time styling my hair. Lucky for me, Paul at Hair Fetish understood this when many other stylists didn’t. I used to have medium-long hair that he would style in layers so that I could let it air dry and trust that it would look good, or blow dry to look more professional. I recently cut my hair short and he angled it into a cute bob that, again, I can easily leave alone to look hip or blow dry to look neat. The salon might not look impressive when you walk in(with spray paint on the plastic carts for coloring supplies and rock star posters on the wall), but Paul’s cuts are great and inexpensive($ 20). I get complimented often on my hair, and it’s all thanks to Hair Fetish… I can’t speak to the other services as I’ve never gotten them, but the cuts are great!

I’ve been there twice and have had great haircuts both times. The people are super nice and laid back. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because I had my eyebrows done there also and both times they did them way too thin.
