SICL is a member-​run organization for older adults offering learning experiences in an informal setting. It is a partnership between San Joaquin Delta College and adults in our community. There are no textbooks to buy, no tests to take, no credits to earn; just a desire to learn and to experience new things.
Examples of SICL classes: art, bridge, music, financial planning, printmaking, creative writing, drama, scrapbooking, rubber stamping, speaker series, and tours. Curriculum is developed according to the suggestions of the members and the availability of volunteer instructors.
I’ve taken quite a few classes and have really enjoyed it.
