Dr. Howard Nguyen of Nguyen Dental Practice has been practicing dentistry since 1994. He enjoys interacting with his patients and is careful not to rush. Common procedures Dr. Nguyen’s patients see him for oral exams, teeth cleanings, Invisalign, and cosmetic dentistry procedures including dental implant placement and restorations, E4D crowns in a day, teeth whitening and more. The dentist is committed to making his patients as comfortable as possible and to accomplish this uses the STA wand numbing technique. We are conveniently located one block away from the University of the Pacific in Stockton, Ca.

Established in 1994.

Dr. Nguyen became a dentist because he wanted to help take care of people’s health. He is a trained engineer and finds dentistry a perfect blend of science and art. He is known for providing a caring atmosphere for his patients and has received the Fleming Award for Outstanding concern for patient’s welfare.

Dr. Nguyen received his BS in Electrical Engineering & Computer Sciences from UC Berkeley in 1987 with the highest honor (top 3%). He then went on to get my MS in EECS from Stanford University in 1990 and my DDS from UC San Francisco.

Dr. Nguyen was awarded the Regent scholarship from UC Berkeley & UC San Francisco. From US San Francisco I was also awarded the:

1. Martin scholarship for excellent academic achievements in junior year.

2. Hughes award for proficiency in removable Prosthodontics.

3. Martin scholarship for excellent academic achievements in senior year.

4. Fleming award for outstanding concern for patient welfare.

5. CDA scholarship for excellent academic achievement in sophomore year.

Dr. Nguyen is a member of the American Association of Functional Orthodontics, the California Dental Association and the American Dental Association.
