Moose Lodge No 391 Loyal Order of

This concerns the Moose Lodge on Davis Road in Stockton Ca:
DISHONEST AND TERRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICE!!! They will tell you one thing, then lie and change what was agreed upon. We had a wedding reception there. Contract stated ‘Cannot bring alcoholic beverages.’ So we paid for their bar to be open for alcohol. We brought outside water and punch mix, then was told we were NOT allowed to bring it in… that all drinks were to be bought at the bar, even though they originally offered us to pay to have the bar open «for alcohol», not all drinks. This after they had agreed beforehand that it was ok to bring punch and water. Then they stated it did not state in our contract that we were bringing nonalcoholic drinks, even though we had told them in the beginning. Yet, the contract does NOT also state that we could not bring non alcoholic drinks. Shady written contract that allows them to intrepret however they choose. We ended up having to pay $ 2 per water bottle per guest x 200 from them! What hall does not even allow you to bring water to the place? Then, they threatened to add more stuff to charge as well as try to keep our deposit $! We even set up, cleaned up, and left the place exactly how it was. Never will we use this facility ever again. And every single one of our 200 guests is aware and will pass on this information so that no one else will be taken advantage of!
Heed this warning: TAKE YOUR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE! THEY WILL LIE AND TAKE ADVANTAGE OF YOU!
