We were extremely happy about getting new carpet installed in our entire home. We went and picked out the one we wanted, set an installation date, and left happy. A day or two later received a phone call that installation date will be pushed another week, disappointed but it was fine, it was only a week. Two days before installed figured I would give them a call to just make sure everything was fine since I haven’t heard anything from them, keep in mind this is only 2 days before installation so we had already started clearing out our whole home. When I called I was advised that our carpet hadn’t even been shipped yet and we would not be getting it anytime soon, perhaps until another 3 weeks!!! No phone call or anything!!! All of this would have been solved if there was decent customer service and communication! If I didn’t give them a call, we would have had most of our stuff outside early morning for nothing waiting for them to arrive! Sent an email to another employee that was handling the refund since we already had put down a deposit saying we would be willing to give them another chance if they feel they can make the situation right and accommodate something for this awful mess that took place which was nothing on our part, haven’t heard anything back at all! I will update this review IF I ever hear back.

I have worked twice (carpet and Luxury Vinyl Tile) with Retha, Joe and their team. Each time it has been an excellent experience. The quality of their products is outstanding, lots of good choices and as stated by other clients, the installation and service is fantastic. I am another «customer for life».

These folks are the best. So professional. I’ve used them twice now and haven’t been disappointed. Their bids are always lower than anyone else. I don’t know how they do it… high quality and low price. Those two usually don’t go hand in hand. This is a local family business that’s doing it right. I’m a customer for life.

Joe Lents Carpet & Flooring on Hammer Lane in Stockton, CA is a great place for your carpet and flooring needs. Here’s was our situation.
We purchased carpeting for three rooms in 2012. Within a year and a half, the carpet was showing wear. I called Ray, one of the owners, to tell him the problem. Ray came out to inspect the carpet and agreed there was a problem. Ray set up an appointment with a carpet inspector for the carpet manufacturer. The Inspector came to our home within 3 days, took pictures and agreed there was a problem. He stated he would send the manufacturer his report for them to make the warranty decision. A week and a half later, Retha (an owner) called me stating the carpet manufacturer had accepted responsibility for defective carpeting. We thenwent down to Joe Lent’s Carpet, picked out more carpet, Retha ordered it while we were there. She said she would call us when our carpet was in her store. It took 4 days for the carpet to arrive. She called to set up the re install appointment and we now have our new carpeting.
This is real customer service. These people went out of there way to take care of us. That’s hard to find these days. The manufacturer stood behind their product and that’s hard to find. We didn’t have to pay for any re installation.
Thank you Retha & Ray. It’s sure nice to know there are still owners out there that care about there customer base. We will return to buy more product from you and make sure to tell our friends and neighbors about your service.

Recently we bought a house, and decided to get new carpet. We researched Lowe’s, Big Bobs, CarpetCity, and finally found Joe Lent’s Abbey Carpet. Here’s what I can tell you: Abbey beat the next closest price by $ 1100 (entire house recarpeted); great quality carpet, better than any others we saw; the men who installed have up to 30+ years experience, and did a perfect job! The price quoted by Abbey Carpet includes installation, haul away old carpet, AND sales tax! And it was $ 1100 less than the nearest competitor (did I already say that? it bears repeating).
I have nothing but good to say about Joe Lents Abbey Carpet.
By the way, they have moved to Suite 108 in the same strip mall, just a few doors down from their previous location, which is still marked.
