Jack In the Box

I’m being nice with the 2 stars. I have dined here countless times on account that I used to live a few blocks away, so I am an experienced customer. First off, the area is known to have many panhandlers, whether in the drive thru or in the front, like any of the surrounding businesses, you are likely to get hit up for change from time to time. Ok, now to get to what REALLY bugs me about this place and why it’s the worst Jack in the Box in Stockton. They are typically busy a lot, which is fine, but they seem to always be understaffed. If you are dining inside, you typically have to wait a little extra longer even if you had a small order. Whoever is managing the place I think is cheap as fuck cause the last time I went inside it was hot as hell, so they are cutting back costs on air conditioning. Also they are the only JITB I have ever been to that deliberately does not put the hot sauce inside the tacos, they serve them to you dry and you have to ask for taco sauce on the side. They have made tacos this way for years. They will screw up your order at least half the times you visit. One day, during a very busy shift, my brother and I went to the drive thru and ordered two chipotle chicken sandwich meals. After a very long wait, we get our orders only to find our fries were old and cold and for one of the sandwiches instead of chicken, they put a hamburger patty. I walked inside and there were a few other angry customers who got wrong orders and cold fries. I have worked fast food and I know how crazy things can get in the kitchen, but if you are not severely understaffed things can run a lot smoother. CHEAP MANAGEMENT WONT TURN ON AIR CONDITIONING OR PROPERLY STAFF DURING BUSY SHIFTS. DRY NO-​SAUCE TACOS. THEY WILL FUCK YOUR ORDER UP AT LEAST HALF THE TIME. Other than that, it’s not terrible.

So I had to get a quick bite to eat because my wife was in a hurry to get to work. Will start off with what I had.
#5 Ultimate Bacon Cheese Burger
Its usually ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ chance at this location that it will be good but I took the chance today and it failed sad to say. The meat was extremely dry and tasted like its been there for a while, I had to put my own ketchup because it looked like they put a dot of it. My curly fries were OK not the best. I usually will take it back but I was starving and my wife was in a hurry
My wife had the chicken strips and she said they were good so no complaint there.
My son had a Cheeseburger Kids meal
My son LoL said daddy where’s the meat in this thing I started to laugh and I told him, just Eat your food. So I looked over and he’s dipping the burger in ketchup. So I asked him isn’t there ketchup already in there and he tells me to look and its only Bread and meat with nothing else. So I felt bad and asked him why didn’t you say anything. His answer was. I Did Daddy… You said… just eat your food. LoL I felt horrible.
So like I said its ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ here that’s why we hardly come here. Plus I can’t stand having people drunk asking for money while I’m trying to grab my food. Its even worse now that there’s no Guard standing out front. My advice if you want Jack to go out North for it. I only came here because it was on the way.

Just spent 30 – 40 minutes waiting for our food, we didn’t even order much at all! We get to the car and find out they forgot an order of fries. Definitely won’t be coming back here.

For starters, I like how they have a security guard here. I prefer places that do have a guard on duty. I’m not trying to get my car broken into anymore lol.
Today the guard did a good job on asking a Man to leave because he was bothering customers inside. I have zero tolerance when I see someone bothering people especially when you have kids with you. I’m not going to get into detail. But if you been to this location, you knew this place had a high amount of panhandlers. Mad respect to the guard working today.

The food it’s Jack and it’s fast food but I do love their Tacos and Chicken Sandwiches and thier fries. The Jumbo Jacks are good along with the curly fries.
One Star for :
The location, customer service and cleanliness. If you don’t know this location is on the corner of Harding way and Pacific ave. This part of Pacific ave is also known as the «Miracle Mile».
The customer service is okay it could be better and I know it will be. Sometimes the wait times are a bit long. It seems this Jack in the box tries to rush the drive-​thru orders out quick. But once in a while, you’ll be asked to park in the front and wait for you’re order.
It’s about ⁵⁰⁄₅₀ on the cleanliness of this location. Sometimes I come in and it looks thrashed and other times it’s clean. Today was not to bad, the dining room was clean but the drink area was a little messy. But someone quickly cleaned it up.
Yes we’ll be back when we want some more tacos.

2 Taco’s for $ 1, enough said

This location has more than its share of panhandlers and at night it can seem as though they come out of the woodwork. Always check your order before driving off because it can take another ten minutes or more to get it corrected only after they interrogate you on whether or not you ate the product … and depending on the time of day and the crew depends on how fast you get your order …

If there was a half a star instead of one whole one this place would get it. Where to begin.(1^st) you have to make you’re way through the homeless crowd who are all over you like your some famous singer at a concert full of horny teens. (2ed) you have to wait in line for the homeless people to refill there soda cup with soda using a cup they found in a garbage. And (3^rd) I order a grilled sourdough chicken club sandwich with onion rings. My onion rings where burnt and so hard I could have used them as a spear tire on my car. And my chicken was rubbery. One bite and the whole piece chicken came out of the sandwich still attached. I went to tell the manager. But she only smiled, because she couldn’t speak english to well. So I went to sit down. The place is small, so it’s not alot of room for eating inside, so it’s best to get it to go. I made the choice to eat there. Man oh man! I wanted to look out the window while I ate, but all I saw was some lady who looked like she had some toddlers pants butt crack pressed up against the window. So I turn to the other way only to see some crazy man talking to himself staring at me. All in all. I am sooo DONE with that place!

Let’s face it. This Jack in the Box is gross. Dirty and in shambles. I go here cause it’s close to the house.
5 STARS for customer service. I called to let them know they didn’t give me my oreo cookie shake in drive thru. I also let them know I didn’t get a receipt. With no questions asked, other than my name, the employee said when I go back to their store, they’d give me my shake. My son went back later on that day and they gave him a large shake even though I had paid for a regular size. Great Job, Jack in the Crack! I’ll be back!

I could kinda put up with waiting forever for my food, but then this happened. I went the other morning through the drive through. I give them my money and they then give it back asking if I had another bill or way to pay as their machine was not reading it. I was like «huh? What machine?» So they go on to say they have to run it through a machine and it’s not working with my bill. They say it isn’t fake, they just can’t take it. I ask to talk to a manager and am told one isn’t there. I then park and go inside and am told that the black light machine doesn’t show the colored security stripe on the bill. I’m like DUH! It is one of the OLD 20’s that don’t have that. In the end they would not take my money. To make it worse my grandma called a short time later and was given the run around about talking to a manager and basically told oh well by the so called «manager». This was after talking to three people and asking for the manager right away. What kind of place is this?!

Just like all the other JnB’s out there except it’s uncleanly and disheveled inside and you run a high risk of getting pan handled (or worse!) outside — even in the drive through.
Almost as bad, every time I go for a quick drive through here, instead I’m asked to park around front for five or ten mins while they get it ready.
All that said, there just ain’t anything quite like a JnB taco…
