The problems with this hotel are not the staffs fault, the owners have clearly decided NOT to maintain the property. It starts as you drive up. The landscaping makes it look abandoned and the siding on the portico is falling off. The halls and rooms are dismal and feel dirty with age and lack of repairs. Tape on carpet, bad patches on doors, AC units that don’t work, bathrooms desperate for tile, holes in window screens, stained wall paint and carpet, water damage spots on ceilings, broken down stripped cars in parking lots, refuse on property, broken ice machines, no locks on external doors, allowing homeless people to come inside the buildings with rooms. We went to the other buildings looking for working ice machines, ice machines not working, one smelled very strongly of smoke and another honestly smelled like something died inside. One of the kids on the team said their room smelled like a dumpster. You can’t call the hotel because their phone system is faulty, you just get a recording saying there is a technical issue and it hangs up on you. The room doors are a mess, difficult to open and close, even if the key cards work (which is a crap shoot) simply because they are so misaligned. The front desk staff clearly don’t have the software they need… to record your credit card for damages (irony at its highest), she puts a piece of paper over it and shades it with a pencil. Oh, and the pool is closed for repairs (2 years ago we stayed here, the hotel was decent and the pool area was great, it’s why we came back) We did see a guy doing patches in the plaster, but it looks like it needs more than just a few patches. Honestly, it’s sad they are letting this building fall apart like this, but even more sad, that I’m paying $ 94 a night for this. My son is shooting at a trap tournament, and I can assure you that no one from this team will be back.
Update: another family reported their toilet didn’t work. The maintenance guy came and offered to «go look to see if they owned a plunger». He never came back and the front desk never called back to move them to a new room. They ended up having to use the lobby bathrooms the entire time. Also, one car was broken into and gas was stolen from another.

If I could give zero stars I would! Last month I helped out a family who was staying at this hotel and the hotel not only over charged me for the room but also charged me a $ 200 deep cleaning fee for the room they stayed in stating the room was left very dirty. I asked for proof of this and was told I would be sent photos but was never sent them. I even asked where were the photos when I got finally got a copy of the receipt from Holly, I had been asking, for but never got a response back. So in the end, I had to dispute all extra charges with my own credit card company.
I had signed a credit card authorization form stating the total amount that was allowed to be charged to my card but the Hotel charged several hundred over that amount anyway! That is UNACCEPTABLE!!!
I tried to work with the Office Manager, Holly, but that went no where. I didn’t get the photos as promised. I didn’t get responses to my emails, etc.
If you look at the Hotels website it states: Another feature you’ll find here is great service. No hotel places a greater emphasis on guest service than we do. That’s because we’re hospitality industry professionals who build our lives on serving others and really enjoy meeting your needs better than any other hotel.
Well in my opinion I do not consider this GREAT SERVICE!!! I feel this is POOR SERVICE and would NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE!!!

Less than a zero. I reserved my room more than two months in advance along with 32 other rooms for a convention we were having. I drove 4 hrs and arrived at 5:00. Was given my room key only to find out that a stampede of horses shacked up in it the night before. It was beyond dirty… The sweet girl at the desk was overwhelmed with people coming back with the same complaint while the owner stood there looking stupid. He wasn’t willing to help us out let alone his own employee. Finally after 40 minutes they accommodated me another room that was made up by housekeeping but far from clean. I felt so sorry for the young lady that I just dealt with it. I give this place an absolute zero.

Checked in on a Saturday, had to change rooms four times before I got one where everything worked. Was suppose to stay 7 nights, will be checking out today, Sunday, room is roach Infested.

At checkin the employee at the font desk was very nice, she helped us get the room we needed. In fact the lobby looked like an upscale hotel. When we got to the room there was no remote control for the TV and no plug for the tub. I called the front desk and she gave me a remote but had no plugs for the tub and suggested I use a wash cloth to stuff in the hole. When I got back to the room I called about the refrigerator not working and the ice machine outside the room not working. The employee at the front desk hung up on me and would not answer when I called back. Nice! I was asking her to leave a note for the General Manager who would be in at 10am.
When we checked in I asked why it was $ 25 per night for our pet, she explained the dogs leave hair and that takes more time to clean. Well let’s see!
$ 25 per night, that’s $ 125 for five nights (she was nice enough to charge us only $ 100)
At current hourly wage $ 25 is about an hour and a half to two hours worth of work for a housekeeper. Based on that the housekeeper is going to spend an additional 7.5 to 10 hours cleaning our room after we checkout. The list below is the condition we found the room in.
The baseboards in bathroom are dirty
Entrance door and bathroom door dirty
Mold in the grout and caulking in the tub
Loads of dust on the TV stand
Carpet very dirty
The ironing board has what looks like blood on it.
They can’t even clean what you would seem to be a basics let along spend $ 125 worth of extra cleaning. A pet charge is common but this is clearly a money grab on the managements part. Even really nice hotels that that allow pets with really clean rooms don’t charge that much.
From the inside they chain lock all doors that enter into the lobby except for the main entrance between 9pm and 10pm, and the main entrance has a buzzer so you can’t just open it. It’s understandable given the crime in the area. What I don’t understand is why ALL doors leading to hallways that lead to the guest rooms fully unlocked, in fact there is no key card reader in site. It seems it’s really important to keep the employees safe but guest not so much. In over 600 hotel room stays in the last four years I have never seen that.
I took my breakfast coupon in the first day, I looked for the buffet style breakfast but as it turns out the have a menu to order from.
Option 1 — 1 egg, 1 sausage and 1 or 2 bacon, not sure.
Option 2 — 1 egg
Option 3 — I can’t remember but you get the idea.
Fine, they want to control food cost by punishing the guest because at some point in the past people took advantage of the buffet or maybe they are doing the first thing all business do when they are loosing money and want increase profit, cut food cost and labor at the expense of the customers.
I asked for my order to go and she said we are not allowed to do that, I asked why she said that’s how management wants it. She did do it for me that one time, thank you. I completely understand not allowing guest to take food to go when it’s buffet style service in a high grime/​vagrant area but you are portioning the food for me! You put it in a box, I give you my coupon, I take it to my room.
From what I can tell the employees are really trying to do the right thing and they are very nice but the management makes it very difficult for them. The condition of the hotel and the rooms other then the lobby is absolutely a management issue. Run down, dirty and in very poor condition.
What surprises me most is Choice Hotels allowing such a brand risks hotel to use their name. If I was not such a frequent traveler this hotel would be my only impression of Choice Hotels and thats really bad.
The only reason we stayed is time and the beds in the room were really comfortable, our next trip to Sacramento/​Stockton we will find somewhere else. I hope this reaches the QA department at Choice Hotels, it’s really needs some help.

This place is an absolute joke. Dirty, smelly facility with lazy and unaccommodating staff. If you have any other options to stay or book an event space, take my advice and GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. ANYWHERE ELSE.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here especially if you’re a non-​smoker. The complimentary wifi gets you 0.2Mbps speeds and the bed spread in the non-​smoking room has cigarette burns. The whole place smells like an ash tray. I also didn’t care for the food served for breakfast. If you do stay here, bring your own pillows as the ones on the king bed I got were more like throw pillows.

Bedbugs. Woke up with bites. Hotel looks smells and feels like it has not been touched since the 80s. Real bad experience. Wanted to complain to the owner or manager but none of them where available or around to see me for the 3 hours I waited for them (I had to spend here some extra time after check out to wash and dry all the things I took up to the room, not to bring bed bugs home). I booked 3 nights and stayed just 1 just because i was too tired to look for another hotel and passed out immediately after getting to the room. Lady at the front desk was surprised that some other hotels in the area had flat screen tvs. What’s wrong with these people? This is 2016, not 1985. DO NOT STAY HERE. This hotel should be bulldozed entirely. I don’t see it could be renovated anymore it is so bad. DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL!!!

Horrible. Run fast away from this dump. Outdated, filthy, and disgusting and unsafe sums it up here. All I could do is CRY. Booked thru Priceline as a blind «deal». I was so upset to pull up to this place. It’s horrid from top to bottom. Whole place smells like smoke. The room was uninhabitable period. I walked in and walked right out. I’d rather sleep in my car than here and that’s exactly what I had to do.

So we booked this hotel last minute for a wedding my family was attending. I was traveling with my husband and to small children under 3. When we arrive late the first night we got our key to our room (up stairs when we told them we had 2 little ones) the key would not open the door. Our son just wanted to go to bed since we had him stuck in the car for 6 hours but we had to go back to the front desk to tell them the key doesn’t work. One lady came to check it out. She got it open after 5 tries but gave us a new room down stairs where the key works. Nobody helped carry our luggage down the stairs. Remember we had 2 little ones!!! Finally we get a room and got to bed.
The next morning we notice the iron doesn’t work so we call to get a new one but the lady at the front desk says we have to move to the other room now because this room is booked. We already unpacked now we have to pack again. Nobody comes to help us move so my husband carries everything himself upstairs with our son while I struggle to take our daughter up the stairs with the stroller (since I couldn’t find an elevator). Finally the cleaning lady asks me if i needed help. She helps me up the stairs. When we get to the room we have 2 men fixing the door lock. They end up fixing the lock with another rooms lock.
After all this back and forth we only got $ 20 off of our weekend stay. This was the worst customer service location I had ever stayed at! DO NOT SYAY HERE NI MATTER WHAT!!!

I recentley attended a halloween party here. This place appeared ok at first. Until a roach and mice droppings were spotted in my room. Ill never stay here again.

Hotel very outdated and in desperate need of repairs. The non-​smoking room smelled like smoke and there was clearly someone smoking weed in a room close by. Wifi did not work at all, lamp shade was missing, outlets were old and did not hold the plugs in well, hair dryer was missing, tv was a big box, outdated one, and I was bitten by, what I believe to be fleas. The hallway carpets were all stained and the pool had mold spots. These owners clearly only want to take your money, and not put anything back in to it. Will never stay again.

You’re probably thinking about booking this place because it’s cheap or the other hotels in the area are full. Let me explain why you’d be a very unlucky soul to end up at this place.
— wifi is supposed to be free. It doesn’t even work
— there’s still water sitting in my bath tub from the previous customer since its clogged
— I have an ironing board but no iron. They said they don’t have any extras so I’m basically out of luck
— the room has a really weird smell to it
— there’s no phone in the room so you can’t call the front desk
— business room is «out of order»
— the bed pillow is not much bigger than the ones you get on planes
I could keep nitpicking about smaller things like the bad breakfast and old… Old everything in the room and common areas, but those were my main gripes. DON’T STAY HERE.

This is a decent hotel. It is old and needs updates though. The wi fi is mediocre at best. They do offer a great free breakfast. The bed is old but it is smoker friendly. They have a restaurant and bar.

Do NOT under any circumstances stay at this place! I was booked here for 4 nights since I came into town to teach a workshop. I chose this place since it was fairly close to where I was teaching. I had to change rooms 4 times! yes, 4 times, each room having a different, major problem. I had to look at 4 others by myself as no one else was on duty to show me any rooms or check them out themselves. Each one had a major problem, i.e. smoke, air not working, fridge or micro not working, etc. The last one I looked at was ok… fridge worked, micro worked, air worked. BUT, that evening the bathroom was full of ants and I mean a lot of ants! I was given furniture polish to kill them with and I had to plus a hole in the wall behind the toilet. Next morning the sink and counter were full of ants. That did it — I checked out. I have contacted Choice’s complaint dept and they are working with this. I am still trying to get my money back. Yes, they actually charged me! The room wasn’t too bad as far as it’s decent and fairly clean but maybe for only the truckers and contractors who stay there — visible by all the trucks in the parking lot. Never, ever again and this will be posted on Facebook and any other social media I can think of. If they had been willing to communicate with me and give me a refund then maybe I wouldn’t do this but they are lousy owners!!!

Stayed here on the last night of our road trip. They are pet friendly which is why we stopped. This building has that 60s style and is showing its age. The attached restaraunt/​bar is in need of a major overhaul.
The bathroom had been partially upgraded but the tile in the shower was old. Beds are subpar for the price. Our non smoking room smelled like cigarette smoke. Parking lot had broken automotive glass which I was now concerned about our car. All the grass areas had dog poop in them. Trash in the untrimmed bushes and parking lot.
The bright spot was the breakfast buffet, pancakes and real bacon were good. Eggs and potatoes overcooked.
Would not recommend to a friend

I’ve always thought 1 star reviews were a little dramatic but my god, this hotel should be bulldozed. I can’t believe they managed 2 stars. I’ll preface this by saying that I have stayed in hundreds of hotels around the world: from 5 star hotels in Japan to highly questionable ‘Inns’ in a few non-​EU Eastern block contries and no joke, this hotel right here is the worst hotel in the world. Period.
I booked this hotel last second on priceline (first issue is that priceline classifies this as a 3 star which is mind blowing) and I got stuck with it w/​the name your own price routine. I read some reviews and started tripping out but I didn’t want to make the drive from Redding to L.A. straight.
Where to begin… It is off the 99 in Stockton, the poorest town in CA (look it up) and the location is a barren wasteland. A few things I witnessed upon arrival:
Broken car window glass all over the parking lot. A couple of construction workers making a meth deal in the back lot with a long haul truck driver (not joking). A hotel in complete and utter disrepair. Torn bent filthy screens hanging from windows, a broken pool with green slime everywhere, a room where roaches scurry out from under the bed when you turn the lights on, plumbing in disrepair, disgusting carpets and furnitute, a 20″ tube TV from the 80s, blood stains on the chair, on and on and on. I did take a quick shower to freshen up for the 5 hr drive home and within seconds it started filling up with sludge water, due to a clogged drain. I initially left my stuff in the car and went to check out the room, took a shower, had a look around, informed the front desk that I wouldn’t be staying and drove straight back to L.A. Oh, and the AC doesn’t work at all. Just blows warm air.
You are better off sleeping in your car than staying here. Beware.
PS: as a side note, the woman working the front desk worked it out with PriceLine and they refunded half of my money so this ‘learning experience’ cost me $ 30. A small price to pay to not stay here. Again, this is mainly Pricelines negligence, since this hotel shouldn’t be any stars.

This place is EXTREMELY OUTDATED! We stayed here over the weekend and asked for a NON-​SMOKING room. When we got into our room, it smelled like guests had been smoking in the room for YEARS. As if the room was recently changed to «non-​smoking», but the only change that was made was the title itself. It was horrible. Then when we called the front desk to request a different room, there was no answer! We decided to let the AC help the air ventilate, I guess.
The next morning I called the front desk for towels. The lady stated «oh we don’t deliver towels. You’ll have to come to the front to pick em up. Or you can go into the hallway and ask one of the maids to give you some since they are doing their rounds.» Really? Ok. That was a first.
Also, while we were checking in, a guest was at the front desk trying to explain that her keys weren’t working on her door. Instead of issuing new keys, the employee asked her if she had wiggled the knob or tried an alternative way to turn the knob. What a joke.
The two stars are for the bed. It «felt» clean, which was nice for the $ 85 I paid to stay at this undercover Motel 6.

I am giving this place 5 stars because
The service was great, I had to complaints whatsoever during my stay. From the room, to the buildings to the breakfast in the hotel everything was great. The hotel is a little older but I must say it is still well kept up with and clean, the server at the restaurant was very polite and kind. The stay was very calm and relaxing. It’s not in the best area but then again Stockton is not such a good area but I have family up here so regardless I can say I will be staying here again on my next visit. Great job staff!

This place is not worth the $ 79.99 a night to stay. Luckily we didn’t pay for our rooms.
First off when you walk into the lobby it smells like cigarette smoke.
The place looks old and raggedy.
This hotel needs a complete renovation!!!
The rooms are unacceptable, the comforter had stains on it, our bathroom had a little cockroach in the tub.
I found hair on the bathroom floor and tub.
It looked like they did quick cleaning of the bathroom.
My friend found a cockroach in his bed!!!
Luckily My other friend is an exterminator was staying with and he checked the whole room for bedbugs and other «pests».
In the end do not stay here not worth it at all!
