Individual Tutoring is our largest program and offers tutoring to learners of any age, in almost any subject. Our one-one-one tutoring is provided by enthusiastic Pacific students who are passionate about their community.
This one-on-one tutoring experience costs $ 18.00 per hour and is done here in the Center.
With one-one help it is easy to see why our local Stockton students’ grades improve. For those who have been in our program for at least two months, their average grade improvement is 1.4 letter grades.
We also help Pacific students find community service opportunities in the Stockton community.
History
Established in 1879.
The Center for Community Involvement is the former Anderson Y Center which has been an important part of the University of the Pacific for over a hundred years. Thousands of students, staff and board members have influenced countless lives within San Joaquin County through various clubs and organizations the AYC has sponsored. Most importantly, the AYC has always been a place where everyone belongs. In 2004, the Anderson Y programs formally joined the University of the Pacific under the Division of Student Life.
