Casey Moving Systems

I am disabled. Scheduled a move from Stockton to Fresno this last weekend. I requested help to finish packing the kitchen because my health was poor and unable to do it all myself. One of the agents came to my home and gave me a quote. It was reasonable but not the cheapest. I emphasized with the agent numerous times that I would need help. Come the day of the move, the workers showed up and had not included the kitchen packing in the quote. I had to do it myself or they were going to charge me an additional $ 800 to do it! I was so upset. Doctors orders were to take it easy and not do anything. I nearly killed myself trying to packing my entire kitchen on the day of the move. I got really sick from overdoing. Not only that but the truck was not big enough to take all our items and I had to rent a SUV and make several trips to get most of the left items. We are talking a four hour round trip. I had to leave behind about $ 500 – 800 worth of china and yard items that I could not take. It was too physically demanding and was unable to clean out the old house because I was too exhausted. Due to this, I will loose out on about $ 300 of our deposit back. Two items were broken in transit. A vintage shadow box and a mannequin. Luckily they were items I was not terribly fond of and we have renters insurance that will cover the loss. The moving guys were really nice and felt sorry for me. They offered suggestions to help pack better and faster. I dont blame the moving guys, they worked really hard. However I do blame the agent and feel that the company should compensate for all the suffering and losses. I am waiting on an answer back from the company to see if they will reimburse for the rental SUV since they did not fulfill their obligation and take all the items. If Casey Moving will do the right thing, I will revise this review. As of right now. I am not very happy and feel completely taken advantage of.
