The ladies that work here are some of the most rude people I have ever met — I’m not sure if they think they’re being funny or if they’re actually serious. Not only was I patronized for where I was moving to but after having the worst experience ever with uhaul when they asked me if I wanted to add the $ 14 insurance I told them only if the fee was waived considering my experience, they rudely responded with: «Ugh, you’ve had enough discounts already!»
First off — I was moving from Santa Clara. I was supposed to pick up my truck one mile away from the house in Santa Clara. Uhaul changed the location to Pleasanton without even informing me. The only reason I even knew was because the Santa Clara location was supposed to call me the day prior to my pick-​up and when they didn’t, I called them three times, left a VM and got no answer or return. I finally went online to see if I had the wrong number and they had completely changed the pick up location. After calling to complain that they changed my pick up location to 30 miles away they told me that actually the person who was supposed to return the truck to Pleasanton returned it to Stockton instead. Stockton… 85 miles away from where I was moving from. They didn’t offer to have the truck delivered to a closer location, instead I had to waste gas in my personal car driving to and from Stockton AND I had to pay for the gas in the Uhaul to get it from Stockton to Santa Clara. They dropped the price by 50%, but the cost was still essentially the same if you take into consideration my car’s gas and paying to drive the Uhaul from Stockton to Santa Clara. Along with all of this — I found empty bottles of RUM and BROKEN GLASS in the truck. Seriously?!
Overall my experience with Uhaul was awful — The ladies at this location just made it that much worse.

These people are great gate keepers for the company. Very helpful and kind, even told some pretty funny jokes lol! I needed the truck a little longer and they were happy to help me out. I will definitely rent from them again! You can’t go wrong with good customer service!

After my reservation for a moving truck fell through with Budget, we reserved a truck from U-​haul 45 minutes before arriving at B&R Storage. They had all of our information in the system and double-​checked the important details. We were in and out with confidence in less than 20 minutes. Very warm and professional employees.

OK — so we’re in the process of moving. (God help us!) A few days ago, I went onto the U-​Haul website and rented a truck from B&R. The morning of the move one of the moving guys cancelled on us (no more using friends of friends to help moving!) so Murphy’s Law was already working his magic.
We got to B & R an hour later than the original reservation time but no worries. Chris helped us, she is a genial, calming presence on such a stressful day. I’m a relative novice at this moving thing and ordered 2 dozen furniture pads! (both my fiancé and Chris thought it was amusing). She suggested ½ dozen which was right on. They flubbed a bit on my return, charging me for two days instead of one. It was a genuine mistake (one easy click), so they credited the difference plus took off for the dolly rental ($ 10).
I’d highly recommend B & R and would most certainly do business with them again. Friendly and professional — they go out of their way to make it a pleasant experience. Although we didn’t use their storage facility, I have a really good feeling about them. Since everything went seamlessly (save a few minor bumps that were rectified immediately), then I’m sure their ethics extend to their storage facility as well.
A HUGE bonus: we had to leave our car in their parking lot across the street overnight. They have cameras all over the place — our car was safe and sound the next morning.
