i hired aliyah abdullah in beginning of january to do my grandaughter family law case she’ had me put money in her account she gave me no contract her assistant april tells you bunch lies, thete was no work done on my case at all this attorney and her assistant took 2500 from me there was lot dis honesty no work at all not a one court date they attorney has her assistant call you bunch of lies, do not hire this attorney whatsoever, you will be out of you’re money and nothing will get done on you’re case, they don’t return phone calls never ever at the office they talk good talk no action, please nobody hire these people aliyah abdullah says one thing as well her attorney i demanded my file no answers i demanded my money back no answer but i’m woman of god and i’m sure whatever action by law handed to her what they need i’m taking further steps and procedures to get my money back and my file, at you’re own risk nothing comes out the assistant mouth and aliyah abdullah mouth is truth you don’t know who you’re talking to at most times i told the attorney if you are busy don’t take case at you’re own risk this attorney should not be doing any cases she’s not right i could never do person like that

I would be talking to someone and it would turn out to be the aide masquerading as Ms Abdullah — in all the phone calls I had, I was never sure — and they would not even make it clear on the call. Very unprofessional outfit when you a** is on the line and you are party to a lawsuit. If you do business with them, get everything in writing, I found many times they simply went back on their word (turns out the aide made promises which the laywer feigned ignorance of).

Ms. Abdullah did an amazing job representing my brother in a criminal case. She was kind, courteous, knowledgeable, and very aggressive in getting him a much better deal than the public defender wanted him to accept. I would highly recommend her.

I could write pages about my experience with this establishment, but will try to keep is short:
I hired Mrs. Abdullah for an Eviction case after my tenants stopped paying rent and damaged my property. I was promised by Mrs. Abdullah on the phone that the case will be handled swiftly and set up a time with her aide to go over the details. Mrs. Abdullah’s aide (April) seemed very knowledgeable first (which had proved to be wrong); she took all my documents and money for the case, and promised that the paperwork would be filed with the court next day. Well, the paperwork not only was not filed next day, but it had not been received by the court clerk for several weeks (!). In the meantime I tried to inquire about status several times and could hardly get a response from anyone, kept calling the court to inquire. After a few weeks of getting the run-​around from April and multiple voicemails, emails to Mrs. Abdullah the court case was set, however the tenants had moved out. I then questioned whether the eviction court date would be kept and was told that everything was as planned and the court would award the judgement against the ex-​tenants along with unpaid rent and damages caused by them. By this time I was very frustrated by this Law Office, but did not have a choice but to continue as advised by them (they had my money!). I took a day off work for the eviction court hearing when (sitting next to Mrs. Abdullah) the judge informed us that we had nothing to there as the house was already vacant (!). It was quite a sight seeing Mrs. Abdullah being lectured by the judge about eviction law… needless to say that I was LIVID!!! I could not believe the incompetency displayed by Mrs. Abdullah! I then demanded all my money and documents back and told her that I could not believe she had practiced law… After multiple phone calls and emails, weeks went by without a response to my refund request. Finally, I had enough and told them that I would hand this over to the State Bar and file a complaint against Mrs. Abdullah. This email brought the result I desired and after several weeks, I received a refund check. Today, after approx. 8 months after requesting to return all my documents, I received the envelope containing my docs, pictures that I had handed over 10 – 11 months ago…
I must say that I had never had such a horrible experience with a (so-​called) professional. They were absolutely unresponsive and incompetent. To this day no one said SORRY for what had happened and for wasting my time for months.
Be prepared for HELL if you hire them: once you hand over the money, you get in line and good luck getting any updates, nevertheless handling your case!
