We are a cut-​to-​order artisan cheese shop and cheese & wine bar.

We stock a rotating selection of hand-​crafted cheeses from America & Europe plus a variety of cured meats. We’ll let you sample most items and cut just what you need. You’re welcome to sit down and enjoy a freshly made cheese flight with beer and wine or beverage pairings created by our cheesemongers featuring the best in the case.

Established in 2014.

Opened in Stillwater in January of 2014 offering the St. Croix Valley a premier wine and cheese experience.

They ran out of 10 year cheddar just before I arrived. D’oh! I was super disappointed because this kind of cheese is not available in the Boston area.
So I asked for some recommendations, and after sampling a few of them I decided on the Mont Blue. It was quite tasty and we took a half pound home.

If you want great quality and delicious cheese this is the place. You can buy some cheese for home, a great hostess gift or sit down and enjoy a delicious meal including a fantastic meat and cheese plate with an excellent glass of wine. People are very knowledgeable and can recommend the perfect cheeses for your needs. We’ve bought a lot of cheese at this shop and have never been disappointed!

Stillwater has so many great bars and restaurants (I’m biased, I live here) and Wedge and Wheel adds a whole new experience.
We’ve been a couple of times, allow the cheese monger to choose for you, we’ve had some amazing cheeses and since I’m not a wine drinker, the fact I can pair cheese, meat and Lift Bridge beer is a massive plus. Staff are fantastic, friendly and very knowledgeable. Next time you’re in Stillwater, make sure you spend an hour or so here.

I was in the area from out of town and thought I should try some cheese in the great dairy land of the world. The cheese was, of course, delicious and an excellent variety of local and foreign produced.
The store owner was very knowledgeable about flavors, history and basically anything you would want to know about your cheese.
I didn’t try any menu items, but I would definitely go back for lunch.
Bonus: the store owner showed his generosity by running blocks to track me down after I left my phone in the store.

Amazing place. We have ordered a cheese plate and wine, but also stopped on for cheese to go. The staff is very helpful and willing to let you sample to find what you are looking for. Very reasonable prices and nice quiet setting in Stillwater. Highly recommend.

This is a friendly, local shop that features a small but thoughtfully curated selection of cheeses. Their real strength is finding domestic and really local cheeses that rival some of the great-​grand-​daddy cheeses from Europe. Don’t come here looking for a bargain, but do come here expecting helpful service and tastes that will blow your mind and expand your palate. So far I’ve only purchased cheese here, I haven’t eaten in. But I will do that for sure!
P. S. The shop is located right by Stillwater’s lift bridge and the Brown’s Creek Trail. Might make a great stop after a walk or bike ride.

Went here yesterday, we walked in right before closing and were treated so well. We had the Cheesemonger’s Plate and the Sauvignon Gris. Absolutely, awesome! Can’t wait to go back — bring a cooler so you can take some home!

A friend and I noticed this place as we were walking by and had to stop in. The place is so cute. We were immediately welcomed and given a run down of the menu. After taking a look, we decided to dine in. We were given recommendations for wine, and were very pleased. Very refreshing for a hot summer day.
We then decided to go for a cheese flight, letting them know that we were both Brie fans. I can’t express how delicious the cheeses were. One was a triple cream with honey. We were also given slices of a chewy, warm, tasty baguette. I am now regretting that I didn’t pick one up to bring home!
I will definitely be back.

Stopped by here to get some cheese and salami to take back to the hotel for my last night. Chris made me something to go that wasn’t even on the menu. I wanted only local meat and cheese. Why be in Minnesota to get SF salami! He was great. Terrific customer service!

I went with my husband a few weeks ago after hearing about them online. We were greeted and offered samples, and shown to our seat in the corner. We told the waitress our favorite cheese was plain ol’ cheddar, and the head cheesemonger arranged a plate especially for us. We felt very listened-​to and taken care of. The plate comes with pickles, warm bread, and a seasonal fruit, I believe. Just perfect. Can’t wait to go back again!

Stopped by after work today and picked up a wheel of Alemar’s Good Thunder. The staff was great — offered free samples of several cheeses and knew a LOT about their product. This is a Cheese BAR so you can either pick up a wheel to go or sit with a cheese flight and a glass of wine or beer. They have a strong focus on locally sourced cheese and drink. Can’t wait to go back!
