History

Established in 1864.

The roots of Simonet’s Home Furnishings & Design run deep in the St. Croix Valley. In 1864, Sebastian Simonet, a master cabinetmaker and Swiss immigrant, opened Stillwater’s first furniture store. Simonet and O’Brien descendants — two of Stillwater’s founding families — proudly continue the family business values passed on to them by their founder.

Mike O’Brien operates and manages Simonet Furniture Outlet. He is a fifth generation member of the Simonet/O’Brien family and the great-​great-​grandson of Sebastian Simonet. Mike works with customers looking for new and consignment furniture and invites you to stop in and take a look around!
