Really good addition to the strip. Even when it’s a chaotic night, they make sure they get everything served in a good time frame. The street tacos are excellent. The menu is somewhat limited compared to the real el vaquero, but they have enough to get you fed and happy.

5th visit. Glad I waited to review. Initially, some hiccups. Now, on point.
This is the «Little» El Vaquero Restaurant, the sister of Stillwater’s largest and most popular Mexican restaurant. Same family, same food, same great value, just smaller and closer to the city center. Also open at different times for «The Strip» crowd here on Washington St.
Daily lunch specials are quick, cheap, and excellent. $ 1.50 domestic for those who can drink midday (lucky).
Authentic Mexican music, flat screens showing sport mostly, indoor and outdoor seating with a self serve salsa bar.
Service was a bit off when it first opened. Not bad, just not as great as it is now.
No favorites to recommend… it isn’t a top-​cuisine establishment. But it is right where it belongs, and I hope it stays.
