Timberlake Campground & Rv Park

Very nice stay. Some of the RV spots are very close to one another and others are spaced out. We had one that practically by itself, and very private. Nice location and very quiet for the most part. I believe there is logging going on next property over and were awaken most mornings by heavy equipment in use on that property. Nothing that the owners are responsible for, but it breaks up the peace and quiet. Fire wood was the best in town. Very dry and easy to get going. That is a plus after buying firewood at many campgrounds and finding it to damp to light.
Campground was very clean and has a great dog walking area. Probably the top 3 campgrounds we have stayed at in 10rs of RV’in
On a side note, local black and white cat not friendly to dogs. He picked a fight with our boxer and coon dog at the same time !!! The cat is the apex animal on this property !!!

This is a very nice campground. We decided to stay here on our way to a show at the gorge, after reading the Unilocal reviews. The bathrooms were immaculate. Just remember to bring quarters for the shower. A quarter gives you a minute and a half I plugged in a dollar and it was plenty of time. The only thing that was a little annoying was having to pack all our stuff up and down the little hill to our parking area. Overall lovely place we enjoyed our stay.

We’ve been traveling for over 2 years and I love it when we find a gem like this. This park is beautiful, clean, has a wonderful staff, is quiet and close to a lot of fun things like Beacon Rock and a multitude of hikes in the area. The extra bit of fun is the owner has events on some of the weekends. The weekend we were there he had a home beer brewing demonstration and tasting — it was awesome. Plus there was a live folk/​country band playing the field. Not all sites have sewer, but there’s a decent amount of privacy between spots and the tent spots look fantastic as well. I highly recommend it!

Great stay! Wonderful little campground. A few strange rules, but I wish all campgrounds were as well run!

Love this place have been cooming here for the past four years and there is not a better campground around. Myself and my Sweetie travel 6 hours to camp here with friends every year and the place getts better and better.
Leroy and his staff run a very great place clean bathrooms with showers. They have a few tent sites around the park and RV spots. In My humble option this is the place to stay when in the area.

My wife and I saw the timber but missed the lake…
Actually we were very pleased with what we read about the campground on its site, but we found the reality to be a typical moneymaking private campground where no real camper would camp and call it camping. The spots are jammed in way too close together, rules abound (posted everywhere without «pleases»), and costs come into play for everything, including poor quality firewood above convenience store prices.
I’id like to be able to attach a picture of our camp fire, our $ 17 camp fire. What would be pictured would be the smoldering entirety of the wood, which all had to be burned at once in order to keep the wet, low grade wood from smoldering weakly without flames. I am a seasoned backcountry sportsman who has made fires to save his own life in wet conditions. This wasn’t an operator error issue.
One might ask, «why did you buy it then, dude?» We called in advance of our trip and asked about the availability of campwood. Leroy, the proprietor, told me «Oh don’t worry about firewood; we have plenty of that.» He mentioned no costs, and many campgrounds include wood with camping fees, which are too high at 30 bucks a night.
My wife and I cut firewood every year at our own expense and would have brought out own had we known. After the office (a trailer) had closed, we used two small bundles and two small bundles of kindling (I mean small), all of which were wrapped together with ½ mile of cellophane, only to determine later that Leroy charged for the crap wood. There were no prices posted anywhere, nor did friendly old Leroy mention them to me on the phone.
I see firewood for sale in small bundles all the time, and the prices he asks are absurd. He could have a local woodcutter drop off and stack a cord or three and offer the level of service he suggests on the phone and Internet and that his prices suggest. He could have also said don’t worry about it or just give me ten bucks, but he didn’t budge or admit any fault for misinforming us.
In retrospect, our stay was fun because we were salmon fishing, enjoying each other’s company, and drinking IPAs and homemade grape juice and vodka drinks when in the campground. Timberlake Campground offered little more than a narrow driveway, a small and plastic picnic table, a fire ring, and water and electric we didn’t need.
If you are the kind of traveler who moves from citified campground to campground and want to be more or less left alone during your stay, Timberlake is your place.
I guess the showers were nice, but I prefer to stink when I camp.

What a beautiful, clean, serene campground. Leroy, camp owner, has out done himself. If you are looking for a place to get away, stare at the stars and not be by the railroad tracks, than this is the place.
The bathrooms are big and clean, the playground is well kept and the dog area is well maintained. Leroy is a delight to talk to and his detail to what a campground should be shines through.
