History

Established in 2007.

Sugar Doll combines the former Paper Doll Stationery Boutique and Sugar Cubed. Now fine candy and stationery can be obtained from one lovely shop. Rick Oppermann’s renovation of Sugar Doll’s storefront won an award from the Wisconsin Main Street program. Before that, the space was for decades McAuliffe’s Corset Shop, and you can see an old corset on display. We are located in historic Downtown Stevens Point, full of specialty shops and great places to eat. Come see us!

Business Owner

I was born and raised in Stevens Point. For 30 years I was away, working in television, later as a college professor. However, I had a long-​time fantasy of opening a shop in Stevens Point’s downtown and now I’m living the dream! I love selling candy and chocolates and feel it’s a mission of good in the world. I also take pride in my stationery and gift offerings, which are available nowhere else in Stevens Point.
