Meet the Manager

Sal F.

Manager

Salvatore Friedel, a full-time single father, lives with his daughter «Fina» in Waupaca. Frustrated that his 7-year-old «wears the pants in the family», he claims imaginary victories when she’s not paying attention. With 25 years restaurant experience, and having lived, (and almost died) cooking in a castle in Italy, he wakes up every day resigned to a few truths: One is that «It truly (is) a Barbie world» and Secondly, «being called ‘Chef’ (even by the most NOBLE of clients) will never make him a better cook.» Sal has never been afraid of bacon or gelato and thinks snuggling is for «hippies». He works as the Executive Chef of Bistro 212 in Stevens Point and welcomes food banter at sfriedel@adventure212.com.

Chef Sal came to Bistro 212 in November of 2012 and has taken a good food restaurant to one of the best in the area! Come try his inventive healthy cuisine and his love to make you happy with my food atmosphere… you won’t regret it!
