Dryer Vent Cleaning: Is Recommended Once a Year through the local Fire Marshal’s Office, FEMA, CSIA and Fire Departments. Lint collects past the lint trap in the vent pipe reducing drying time and adding risk of a catastrophic event.

Chimney Sweep & Inspections: Is Recommended Once a Year. Chimney fires happen more often than you would think! A chimney fire can do huge amounts of damage to a structure. Chimney sweeping of the entire system includes: Firebox, Throat, Smoke Chamber, and Flue to the Cap (If one is present).

Hello my name is Jason S. I am the owner-​operator of JCS Home Services. I established the company in 2011.

A little about me: I have always worked in small companies, it is at the very core of my values. I started out as a helper/​trainee with a local HVAC company whom I stayed with for many years. As I moved up in the company from helper to manager I focused my attention to the cleaning side of those very same ducts I was constructing.

I earned a new position as a technician in a well-​known local air duct cleaning/​chimney sweep company, where I personally helped further construct and build a superb quality name from my own ambitions and drive. After leaving that company I started JCS Home Services.

Hard work, Determination and Customer Satisfaction are three things at the very top of my list. JCS Home Services will always put in 100% into every project.

Pretty happy with their service.
They were willing to come out on a Saturday last year, out of their normal service area. They were running early and called to see if it was okay to come by early– uh, yea… lol
Did a thorough job sweeping; guess I forgot to do it the year before which was funny; I swore up and down I do it every year… and proceeded to do an assessment of the surround.
Provided an upfront honest assessment of the condition of the fireplace and its surround. Of course, because we are talking about me, the news wasn’t great, but, the issue here is their service, and their service was thorough; I would not only call them again, but, recommend their services to others.

Outstanding customer service and extremely professional employees! I used JCS to clean my gutters and they were awesome. They set me up with an appointment right away, called the night before to confirm, showed up on time, and did a great job. All of the employees were courteous and professional. All I can say is Amazing service!!! We hired them to have our fireplace cleaned and inspected in our new home. Upon inspection there were cracks found in the front and back panels and they needed to be replaced or they could start a fire (ekk!) Jason was able to quote us a very reasonable price, work was scheduled to be done within a week! So impressed with the final product, JCS fixed a previous problem with the fireplace alignment, replaced the 2 panels, cleaned up after themselves and even took the old panels away for removal! Jason left detailed written instructions on how to cure the fireplace after the new panels were installed. Loved their work so much we recommend JCS to my parents who are now having work done to their fireplace as well!
Sidenote for any single females who have concerns with workers coming into their homes, I was home by myself for their second visit and not once did I feel uncomfortable!

It was such a treat to have Dave come sweep and inspect our chimney. It was a breeze to make an appointment with them, even on such short notice. Dave was right on schedule (even 5 minutes ahead of time!) and so pleasant to talk to. He took care in making sure the dust and chimney residue stayed contained and the room was spotless after! He was super thorough and made sure that I understood the report and the «next steps» that we needed to take in our chimney care. They were super affordable and I would 100% recommend them to anyone who is looking for chimney care service. I will absolutely use them again and suggest their name to any and everyone!

I am so impressed with JCS services. I wanted to get my dryer vent cleaned before winter crept up again, and before the «fall rush» pushed me into next month’s calendar. I got on their schedule painlessly, and the guys who came to my house to do the work were efficient, and did a great job. I couldn’t believe how much lint they got out of my dryer vent despite having it cleaned about 2 years ago.
The price was fair too. I had a Starling nest in my vent this spring, and although I got rid of them myself, I wanted an expert’s opinion on if I needed a cover to prevent nesting in the future. I was told there was no need, and that there was only a small amount of evidence that a bird was in there in the first place. I love when a company doesn’t try to sell you things you don’t need!

The guys showed up on time and were very professional. Chimney is swept and they even replaced our chimney cap with a nice high quality stainless unit. The old cap was rusting and causing staining on our roof and siding. They also gave me some good tips on keeping creosote in check and other tips to keep things working well!

David just left my home and I am very happy with my service. He cleaned the chimney and my dryer vent.
1.) He showed up on time… he actually showed up!!!
2.) He was very professional and knowledgeable.
3.) He took the time to explain how my chimney worked.
4.) I made an appointment on Tuesday and they came out on Friday… of the same week.
5.) Very friendly person with whom I made my appointment.
6.) I feel safe using my dryer and chimney now.
I had such a terrible experience with another company they cancelled twice and on the third time they just didn’t show up.

I could not have been happier with the service we received. We had a severely clogged dryer vent in our newly purchased townhome. The dryer vents vertically up and out the roof! NOT an ideal venting solution. JCS came out and removed the clog, attached a removable tube to the upper portion of the vent, removed the vent screen to avoid future clogging and built a permanent ladder to access the top of the vent tube. These guys were fast, efficient, professional, and, most of all, AFFORDABLE! Jason was upfront, friendly and honest when he returned our call for help, which was maybe 2 hours after we called, initially. I highly recommend JCS Home Services.

I called Jason for chimney sweep however he wasn’t able to do his work because we have this out of this world wood stove that has other issues. It’s very rare nowadays to have someone come to your house and not charge you if no work was done. I’m so really thankful for him.
He helped me think through what options I have to transform our fireplace into something fully functional without incurring too much cost. I will defnitely call him again to do the sweep once we have this wood stove removal figured out. Thanks, Jason. You’re the man!

Today I had the pleasure of meeting Jason, the owner of this family run business. Our association required a chimney check, even though we do not use our fireplace. Jason and an associate did the inspection and apologized for what he felt was an unnecessary service. He wrote a recommendation to the board for a waiver for the future. That in itself was worth the money, which he discounted since we are seniors.
I highly recommend JCS for their performance, honesty, integrity, and price.
We will be using their services for dryer vent cleaning in December.

I called a few places about getting my dryer vent cleaned and they gave me the lowest price and seemed to know what they’re doing. They showed up on time and worked pretty fast. When I went to check the exterior dryer vent after they were done, I reached my hand in and pulled out a giant piece of lint. Seems like they could have checked their work better. Aside from that, the vent does seem much cleaner and overall I’m satisfied with the work.
