I have no choice but to deal with this company because my home warranty service hired them to fix my AC unit. I have been on the phone with them multiple times trying to get someone on the phone who can explain to me 1) what is wrong with my AC unit 2) what is needed to fix it and 3) which portions of the repair are covered by warranty and which aren’t. The difficulty comes down to the fact that most of their people do not speak English well, or barely, or not at all. The two guys who came to my house and inspected my unit did not speak English well. They said that my compressor needed replacement, which is fine, ’cause it’s covered under warranty. When I called my warranty company to follow up on the repairs, all of a sudden, I needed to pay about $ 500 out of pocket for expenses not covered under warranty – and I’m to call Eastern Tech for further details. Why were these expenses not adequately explained to me at all at any point in the process? My recommendation is to not do business with them at all.

I took off work for Eastern Tech to come out to my place so I could watch them «go through the motions» of working on my HVAC only to find out later through my warranty company that they weren’t planning on finishing the work on my HVAC. They told my warranty company they didn’t work on my type of HVAC system. I would’ve liked to know that before I took off from work or before we spent almost an hour staring at my HVAC.
The contractor who eventually worked on my system came out the next day and had my system up and running within 3 hours (bad blower motor).
I will never call Eastern Tech for any HVAC needs again.
