Creme De La Creme of Sterling

Our son started going there when he was 8 months old. We really liked it and were impressed with the teachers he had up until this year. His morning teacher was wonderful however we didn’t feel as comfortable with the afternoon teacher. He started acting out and hitting. Of course being very concerned about this we would talk to the teachers. The morning teacher said he was fine and it was normal toddler behavior. The afternoon teacher had a different opinion and said he was being difficult. This went on for a couple of months all while a new director came on board. What a piece of work she is. Rather than look into the patterns of when and why our son was acting out, she called me in to meet with her and assumed a few things. First that my job and travel may be impacting him, 2) asked if there were problems at home and finally perhaps our son has behavioral issues and I should have him assessed. We went back and reviewed all the incident reports and noticed the pattern was clear. Our son acted out only in the afternoon with that one teacher. It started to trickle into the morning and also at home. We tried to point this out to the new director and she refused to even listen to us spouting her experience (I write books, I’ve been doing this for years…). Our son is in a new school and what a 180. He’s our happy loving boy again. My advice to people who are considering having their children attend; wait until there is a new director. The current one in our opinion is highly unprofessional, arrogant and condescending.

This Preschool/​Daycare is nothing but the worse school in the area, my daughter was attending this school for almost 4 years. I was afraid of moving her, and caused her instability, all educators, teachers, or helpers specially the new director are very unprofessional and most of them do not have any education in teaching children-​high staff turnover. Every day was something new with my daughter, either unpredictable behavior, erratic changes of mood or comments that the teacher was not using manners… every day where to the point that made me decide that I needed it to look for another school. she Started going to Crème de la Crème in Sterling before she was one year old, since then they have changed 3 times Directors, and at least 4 times Virginia Department of Social Services has been there with very serious complaints such us dragging a kid from his legs to the point they burnt his back, unattended children complaints all the time!!! I, don’t understand why I did not look for another school before, I possibly the reality of us (parents) want the best for our kids, that school is not good!!!
Sad to see such a nice facility mismanaged and bad reputation

High staff turnover rates and new management has led to major disappointments with this center. Sad to see such a great place go downhill so quickly.
