If it was possible to give this company 0 stars, i’d consider it. So let’s assume one could, i’m still going to give them one star for the following two reasons: 1.) they picked up my rug on time for a cleaning and 2.) for all the annoyance regarding the delivery, they gave me a whopping discount of 50 cents off per square foot – saving me one hundred bucks (woo hoo!)
Now let me back up and preface all this by saying i realize the hurricane last week caused major problems (and business for this company) and supposedly the delivery guy’s van broke down, but damn can’t someone call me if they’re going to be late or not come at all.
So last week they were supposed to drop off the rug between 8 and 10 a.m. on tuesday. they didn’t show for auto repair reasons but i had to call to figure this out. So wednesday they are supposed to come: no show can’t recall the reason. no phone call
Then Wednesday through Friday, they don’t answer their phones or return any of my voicemails. Now i’m concerned my rug has been stolen or that the company has gone out of business and now my rug is subject to bankruptcy proceedings. Then finally this week i get a phone call saying they are going to come on Tuesday or Wednesday, another no show and no phone call.
and at last today (a friday) i get my rug delivered. Btw, they also said they would call us last night but no phone call. They said they would call at 7:30 this morning to reconfirm, no phone call. Then the guy calls at 8 a.m. (when the rug was supposed to be delivered) saying he’s stuck in traffic but it sounded like he was just leaving from wherever he was. Then finally he says he’s at my place but actually he was at my place but no he wasn’t he was at my old address (we moved and they knew the new address where it would be delivered (the delivery address is on the original receipt)) so despite promising to be there at 8 am sharp, they showed up at about 9:10. I got the rug and it looks good as far as i can tell. So i’ve been late to work about 5 times in two weeks and for that i got a $ 100 discount. Deplorable customer service. Just awful. Not worth the headache. i’m considering calling the DC better business bureau.
