Personally, I had an excellent experience. Great stylist, great price including tip. Will return for sure.

After reading the reviews for the Sterling Heights location, I decided to give it a shot during my lunch hour(I was desperate and didn’t have the time after work). Mario couldn’t have been more right about it being the«ugly step sister» of the other location, but that’s not where I had the problem. One review said the haircuts were about 14 dollars(pretty average cost nowadays), and I was shocked when I was charged 20 dollars for a very sub-par experience. I’m not sure if the corporate price point is just ridiculous, or if this was just a bad«senior stylist» that charges more. I figured it might be one of those salons where the tip is included in the final cost. I was wrong. Headquarters on Hall road costs much less, you get much more(scalp massage, hot towel, free beverages, attractive and friendly stylists, etc). Do yourself a favor and book an appointment with Aubrey at headquarters and you’ll leave with a great haircut and a great conversation. I won’t be going back to wise guys, and I hope I can keep others from disappointment.

Alrighty, so I finally have some time to sit back and get some old reviews taken care of. From my previous review, I had a rather slighted experience… but to make it better, I was contacted by the manager of Wiseguys. He had apologized for my previous experience, and wanted to make things right. This was the first time that I had been contacted from a Unilocal review, so I was at least to give them a shot. He had offered for me to come in and have a free massage to make up for the last one. That, and he was going to have his best masseuse available to take care of me. I said that I was very pleased that a manager would contact me after such a review. I came in, and was greeted by him, and was introduced to my masseuse… and the massage started. It was a good massage. It was definitely better than my previous one. She had apologized because she had heard about the experience I endured there, and said that she’d do anything to make this one the best possible. Needless to say, the massage was very good. When I came out of the massage room… I was greeted once again by the manager, and then the store owner… who presented me with a gift card to get a free hair cut. And I’ll be damned if I can find that card. I thought I had put it in my wallet, but I cannot find that card. lol. Thanks to Wise Guys for trying to make things right. I think companies that actually pay attention to what people say is top notch.

Great place to get a massage. Nicole gives an excellent deep tissue massage, and Élan gives a great relaxation massage. Both are beautiful ladies with great personalities.

This Wise Guys is the ugly-step sister of the Madison Heights location. Sure, she performs the same and she does have the same characteristics of her sister, but she’s still not the same. The stylists are a little older and a little more weathered. However, they were very nice and inviting. As soon as I came in from the unforgiving Michigan weather, I was offered a «beer of anything else to drink?» They got right down to business and gave me a solid hair cut. The down fall of this place is the location. if you don’t live in the area, you will probably never drive by it. It’s located in an industrial corridor between Utica and Van Dyke. Because of the unfavorable location, their weren’t many people there and they got me in an hour after I called. The price was ok. I think $ 14 or so, but the location and convenience(for me) was worth the price.
