My husband and I have given the place a couple of tries. The ice cream is really good and the prices are reasonable, but if you’re looking for friendly service you may want to keep looking.

This is the most up-​scale Dairy-​Queen like little soft serve shop I’ve ever seen! The owner is clearly a Tiger’s Fan, meanwhile you can stand and wait in air-​conditioned comfort, and sit down to enjoy! Stop in! If I’m still here, I’ll by you a cone! (-;))

My visit was on a hot afternoon weekend, so I was pleased to see that the line was very short. Service was quick and polite. Their indoor seating area is tiny, but there was outdoor seating both in front of and behind the small store. I had a Lemon Meringue Pie «tornado,» their version of a Blizzard. It was delicious! Sweet, sour, and with small crunches of pie crust. I was less impressed with my companion’s Raspberry Parfait. It was good but unremarkable, though it had a slightly lower price point than Erma’s. All told we had two very enjoyable specialty ice creams for under $ 7, so I was pleased with the experience. A great alternative for those who don’t want to stand in line and pay outrageous prices up the street at Erma’s.

I was very disappointed today I came in to get my usual hot fudge brownie Sunday the gentlemen making it for me had just finished handling money. He used his bare hands with out washing his hands or anything. I asked him didn’t you just finish touching money and he said «yea» and I replied and your going to touch the brownie after handling money? His response was «that’s how we always make it» completely disgusted I really liked this place but not not after today…

Screamers is a great local alternative to Ermas. We’ve gone a few times in the past couple months. Fast and friendly service with two lines. One inside and one outside. The pricing is very reasonable. Definitely stop in when in the area

Awesome place for soft serve ice cream. Sanders hot fudge, big selection of ice cream and custard flavors, every topping you can imagine.
Really big portions and a less expensive than DQ.
Lots of indoor and outdoor seating. Big lawn in the back with picnic tables and umbrellas makes it nice for the kids to run around and play.

it was so large, I could only finish half & got the rest in a go cup.
My only request/​suggestion would be for them to open the walk up window as the inside gets jammed as I was 8th in line.
They have plenty of picnic tables & umbrellas out front & out in back.
parking lot can get jammed, park at either locations next door, for freedom of movement.

Since I don’t live on this side of town I’ve been trying to create a reason to get back here and stop in for more delicious ice cream! Recently I needed to stop by a friends house and stopped in… It was as good as I remembered, the staff was as friendly, and the portions and the prices as great a deal. If they ever open one of these stores on the east side. (Clinton Township PLEASE) DQ, the Stone and Slab, and 31 Flavors better watch out!

Outstanding value!!! I can’t believe this place has been there for 4 years! Located on the east side of Mound right across the street from Walmart… I couldn’t believe the great value (twice the size of a mini DQ blizzard for less money) and it was even better tasting. If they ever open a location in Clinton Township I’ll be a daily customer… As it is I’ll be sure to stop anytime I’m out that way!

Screamers is flat out the best place around this location for soft serve.
Their prices are much, much lower than the other places nearby, and their ingredients are much, much better. I’ll give you an example. Here, the Hot Fudge Brownie Sundae is only $ 3.75, and is more than enough for two people to share. I usually eat half when I get it, then freeze the other half for another day. Also, they use a whole large brownie that tastes like it must be homemade.
Their rotating flavors are always fun to try, and they have usually have some unique items on their menu, such as a chocolate or strawberry cake-​like bowl that you can have a sundae in.
They have plenty of outdoor seating in the front and back, and there’s even some indoor seating. The place is always very clean, the staff friendly, and service quick.
This past summer I didn’t even visit my old ice cream haunt, but went to Screamers instead, and they have never disappointed me.

Screamers Ice Cream is a wonderful, simple ice cream stand. I would liken thier menu to a Dairy Queen but with a lot more local flair and personality. There is baseball memorabilia covering the walls (mostly Detroit Tigers), which I personally loved. The staff (who I believed to be the owners) were a delight.
I ended up ordering the regular size Banana Split. It was huge and definitely a great value for the price! Nothing fancy about the dish, but it hit the spot.
I would certainly return. Keep up the great work!
