Horrible, Horrible, Horrible! This salon is located inside Macy’s Lakeside Mall; Sterling Heights. My sister bought me a hour and half Pedicure gift certificate for my birthday (in town visiting). I c/​not wait to use it & just relax. The front desk staff people seemed to be ok, friendly but not overly.
I think the girls name that did my pedi was Brook. She was a very nice person, however she had NO CLUE as to what she was doing! I have had tons of pedicures over the years (at some of the best spa’s in the U.S.) this one was by far the worst I have ever gotten! She was young and seemed very immature. A couple of things that bothered me the most was when she used the scrub on my foot, she just kept scrubbing the SAME spot! Ouch! She also used hot towels on my legs but didn’t cover my toes, which felt a little odd, my feet were cold. She would not stop talking, mostly about her life.
The products were AWEFUL! I have no idea what the name of the product was, but I had her take off the lotion that she used at the end. It smelled like Alcohol or Nail Polish Remover. Needless to say, they were not good products. Probably very cheap for the salon to buy and use. If you love great organic plant based products… this is not the place for you!
The actual area of the salon is downstairs in the farthest part of the store. It is not remodel and old. The pedi «room» was just that, a «room». I think it was the old storage closet! Horrilbe! And the water in the soaking tub for your feet, kept getting way too hot so every so often she would have to turn the water on, take your feet out and let the water cool off before you put your feet back in and adjust again to everything! Weird, uncomfortable and just NOT RELAXING at all!
The worst Pedicure EVER!!! Don’t go! Brook also told me that the Manager of the salon was her friend… if that tells you anything!
